@@ReallyThatsWhatUchoose We really need to go over our KPIs (Key Performance Index) and make sure we've got all of our CTAs (Call to Actions) by EOD (End of Day) . Actually Rowan, I haven't got the triple-O (Out Of Office ??) for my PTO (Paid Time Off) yet. I didn't approve your PTO (Paid Time Off), in fact that's going to be a UPL (Upper Payment Limit) with a PC (Professional Component ? not sure.. doesn't really make sense) - Ahh FFS... (you know this one)... We won't be able to perform B2B (Business to Business) OPS (operations) if the CMS (customer management system) isn't ready . Ah I'll get on top of that CMS and then check the CPC (cost per click) as well. What about PPC (Pay Per Click) .. ah yep, I'll check that as well as the ROS (Return on sales) and the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) as well. Ah Ellie have you got the UV (no idea) stats for the SaaS (Software as a Service) - we need that ASAP (As Soon As Possible) by the end of EOP (End of Play ) . Yeah all good, Rowan, I've got the OTC (Order To Cash) MOM (Month on Month) TBA (To Be Advised), then the CFO (Chief Financial Officer) has asked me to get on the EDS (External Debt Statistics) in EST (US Eastern Standard Time) ASAP (as soon as possible). Cool, thanks Ellie. Now Adam, you've actually got an easy afternoon. Oh good. So we've got the NSOR (no idea) coming down the PQT (Production Qualification Test) this arvo (afternoon), I need you to be on the FTG (no idea) ASAP, then you can LWR (no idea) and take your SDO (no idea). Shouldn't be much of a PQY (no idea) because most of the people have a QWE (qualifying work experience) anyway

CTA - Call to Action: text that gets your readers to engage in next step to buying product EOD - End of Day OOO - out of office maybe? Weird way to use it PTO - paid time off UPL - probably Unpaid Labor PC - ??? B2B - Business to Business OPS - I assume they mean Operations, never heard of OPS as an acronym CMS - Content Management System: front end for websites, think Wordpress/Squarespace. Basically a prebuilt website structure and you insert the contents, common for small to medium size businesses CPC - Cost Per Click: how much you’re paying in relation to getting a click on your ad, one of a few metrics marketing uses to track ad campaign success PPC - Pay Per Click: similar to CPC ROS - usually return on sales but probably means run of site here SEO - Search Engine Optimization (getting your site to top of google results) UV - no clue, maybe unique visitors? SaaS - Software as a Service (best to google it) EOP - same as EoD OTC - ??? MOM - month over month? TBA - to be announced CFO - chief financial officer EDS - ??? EST - Eastern Standard Time (east coast time zone for US) I have no idea what Rowan talks about afterwards

The fact that I m fairly sure everyone one of those is real blows my mind. I knew like 90% of those, but I’m not used to hearing them all at once. I’ll be OOO to EOD.

This is even more funny watching this as a German, who had to look up what a GP was the first time I bumped into the acronym, as we have an actual speakable word for them. 😂

I hate my workplace acronyms, so important words they shortened down and only told a few people. And people have the nerves to get up set with me for not knowing them.

I have often thought this took conciseness over clarity way too far. The militaries are bad for acronnym issues as well.

Reminds me of my first week on the ship in the navy. My department had a little huddle session to assign duties and the chief was throwing out all these acronyms that everyone else was just nodding along to while I was like "huh?"
