What's interesting about Mr. Martin Hatch is not only that a hatch is another name for a door, but that the name Martin is very close to Warlin. If you just take the "M" and turn it upside down and then remove the dash on the "t" in "Martin", you now have "Warlin". SUCH COOL LORE!

It's interesting to see how Saga differs here in this teaser for return than she does in Alan Wake 2. She was obviously still a concept character at that point. They most likely decided to go with the Saga in game during development when they decided to tie her into being both related to Mr. Door and the andersons. Makes sense why she was able to hear, see and get Alan out. She can shift through realities like her father. That also means the FBC will want her, because being the daughter of a shifter + whatever the andersons are that's mega powerful. Her an alan will probably be on the run from the FBC soon lol

Serene is wearing a t-shirt of Stone Crow, who is an Old Gods of Asgard tribute band. The implications of that are interesting. If you take what Quantum Break is showing us LITERALLY, that Alan Wake is just an author who writes very popular stories, then Old Gods ONLY exists in the stories of Alan Wake. But the music ITSELF (which would be necessary to have a tribute band) only exists in the video game (or other media) adaptations of Alan's work, e.g. the Alan Wake games that we play in OUR reality. So in Jack's reality, Alan Wake seems to be a famous author whose works are adapted into video games (on the PC in the lab) and movies (that Return trailer), and they are studied in literature class at college (the blackboard). And those adaptations are SO popular that the fictional band that plays in The video game/media adaptations of Alan's self-insert horror series (e.g. the Alan Wake game which we play in our reality), has its own touring tribute band with t-shirts and everything. Very interesting!

Similar to Max Payne basically being Casey in almost every possible way, Remedy has had to write around it cuz of not owning it, but the references of Hatch being door directly. Tim being played by the same actor, and mentions of "being another person in another world" in his dreams are definitely meant to be very direct. Also seems very certain that had the actor for Hatch not passed away, he would have been cast as Door, almost guaranteed.

Lance Reddick, the actor who played Martin Hatch, was most definitely onboard to play Mr. Door. His name is in the ending credits of Alan Wake 2 with Lance being one of the people Remedy dedicated the game to.

Thanks for sharing. You're such a gem 🙂 Awesome how immersed you get. It's hard to find gamers who allow themselves to fall into the story so much that they read as much as they can in the game. Thank you so much for doing that. It must be exhausting at times, appreciate it. It adds to the depth of the universe and creates a clearer understanding of the plot, characters and their psychological mindsets, relationships etc. (Side note as the game was mentioned in this.... Disco Elysium is a trippy game and I can see how people like it, but I've watched 2 playthroughs of it, years apart, so I had forgotten the juice wasn't worth the squeeze, but that's just my 2 cents😊 - try the game Soma, if you haven't, - juice worth the squeeze 🤭, great game)

I don't think it would be very easy to stream on two sites at once. Imagine trying to read two chats and respond while playing a game... It's also not selfish at all to stream to one site at a time by any means. Viewers have equal access to both sites.
