You know, if I bought every single thing that every Prepper channel says that I need to get, I would need to have millions in the bank. I have been a Prepper over 40 years now and have pretty well figured out what is important! I, personally, have gotten through some severe survival situations where my very life was at risk, and I came through it! My point being, that you don't need most of the stuff that these channels hype! Up to you, fellow Preppers!

I can't stand some channels that tell you you have to buy the most expensive stuff or you will die, I remember years ago I saw one that was telling people "without this generator you will not survive" the generator was like 50 thousand dollars that's more than I paid for my house

As I watch these videos, I list my favorite one's and check it against what I already have and make up my own mind if I want to purchase something from their list or not . There doesn't have to be a catastrophe to need those little towels. I was at a DT and had a very sudden need for the restroom. No TP to be found and holding it wasn't an option. I might've grabbed a pack from their shelf but there was no time. I did happen to find a disposable napkin in my bag which I was very thankful for.

I was a school teacher... I had to explain & teach *"B, B & C"... BOWEL & BLADDER CONTROL...* to the students. If you're in the Military, in a Cab, on a Plane, in a Job Interview *(imagine having a loose stool/bowel event during a job interview)...* OR of you're a TEACHER... You need to have *Complete Control over your Bowels & Bladder...* There is No Such Thing as a Bowel or Bladder emergency if YOU are the Keynote Speaker... That being said... ALWAYS keep toilet paper with you. And keep in mind, you can always use your t-shirt, your underwear, your socks, paper towels, $1 dollar bills,,, be creative and plan ahead... ~Look Before You SH*T~

Red light or Amber "warm" light is actually huge !!! Most led's flashlights are made with crappy blue "cold" light that messes with eyes, makes it hard to get to sleep. Campsites should encourage amber or red light flashlights.

Everything you use is always good to have extras even for those black swan chick (my name for minor local disturbances - if there is a better name let me know) events we had a shooter on I75 3 days ago just a crazy guy out there and they are still looking but everything in about 5 counties is shut down schools businesses and citizens are being told to shelter in place and not be out after dark because etc. I am sure there are way more than 1 nut job out there just waiting to do something stupid that affects a lot of people. Your recs are always on spot and I do love the Itehil fan works great all night long with just a day charge - if you need fan to sleep. But get home bag and small stocks of things are obviously great ideas even for non national or global events - it just takes one psychologically unstable person and your life can be ruined, especially if your were one of those hit (not me). Sheltering in place isn’t a problem if you are prepared. Just thoughts

I was thinking to myself today! I have a solar powered generator and I was thinking what if there is a volcano eruption that spews enough ask to block out the sun? How do charge a solar generator without sunlight? Do you have an alternative recommendation for generating electricity?
@sweetiepi
@sweetiepi Ай бұрын
You should have multiple ways to generate. That’s my esho. If possible get a multi fuel generator that’s allows for different fuel use. No one source is going to be completely reliable. It’s the same with food. If you freeze it all and you can’t keep your freezer going there goes your supply. I do some freezing but focus way more on canning and making things shelf stable. Up here in the north I worry the most about heat in the winter.

i need a fan at night most of the year as it is too hot to sleep. so a solar fan is a joke. i like my trip wires that go bang. will scare away most 4 legged critters ( very sick with O what is to the one were water is a problem and they foam at the mouth and attack anything?) and alert you to two legged critters. but if that pocket tool is good and cheap. send me a bunch of them and i will give out to my squad in the C,S,M.
