Marcello is starting to really shine this season. He's quickly becoming one of the best cast members.
@astareusАй бұрын
It's Marcello and Ego for me right now, they both have megawatt star power in every sketch they're in pretty much and they're both only getting better. I know a lot of people were quite worried after some of the massive departures the last few seasons but I'll be honest--and this is in no way a knock on the absolute legends who came before--I really haven't felt their absence, and that's largely in part because of the work that those two are pulling off right now, in addition to amazing effort coming from the rest of the cast--even the total newcomers. Go Marcello and go SNL!!!

Ok… It’s time for us to give Marcello his well-earned flowers. 💐 I’ll start. Marcello is by far my personal favorite cast member and the main reason I keep coming back for more SNL! He made me laugh so much with this. I hadn’t laughed like this in a very long time. Much appreciated! ❤ I adore how much variety there is to his characters. Some of them are very clearly Latino, while others are more ambiguous. Sometimes he’s a husband or son, other times a teacher, student, . Sometimes he’s fun-loving and energetic, other times he’s confident or a fast talker. No matter what role he’s playing, he’s iconic. That short with Domingo at Carpenter’s concert had me in tears. A common theme I’ve noticed is that he usually plays loud characters which makes sense because he slays them all. It’s similar to how Bowen plays similar characters because he plays them so well. I would be interested to see him play characters that are even more different and unique. Some of my favorite Marcello roles: Luis (aka papi lindo) from Protective Mom, Hugo Antonio Gonzalez Ramirez from Spanish Class, and as himself speaking on depression in men on Weekend Update.

I've loved Marcello and Andrew, especially since I saw Andrew in that feces sketch his first year. And the one with the map. Lol. I liked Jane in her old skits, I'm still waiting to see how that translates on screen. Overall SNL hasn't really disappointed lately. And I swear Ashley looks like someone who used to be on the show, or rather she fits in so well she genuinely looks perfect for SNL. I appreciate her delivery also. You can tell they all have different comedic styles, timing etc. Sucks that Chloe got boosted, but I'm thoroughly enjoying the cast lately. Even Collin seems more lively? I'm sure not everyone will agree but even with bad writing, the cast is back to making up for it. Love seeing these guys visibly improving while even making blegh-sketches tolerable, too.
