“Mad Acting Skills.” After reaching a certain level, and/or having spent decades working, it’s easy to believe your skill set is up to par. Consider my fire lit.

Your clips are priceless to my 14-year-old granddaughter who is in her second year of Theater. At a young age she had a weird and quirky personality and we thought the best way to releases this was if she got into acting. She did, and she loves it, plus has made a whole new set of theater friends:) I recently introduced her to your KZbin channel and she loves you and your clips! .. Thank You!

Thank you Amy, this is a very welcome gift, you are water in the desert, I have written all these points down in my notepad, my Bible.

Confidence had been one. After I prayed to book. I'd be on set and then a massive negative energy would hit after my scene saying, " scenes over. Your moment is done. Now what. Your going nowhere. " my confidence in myself went down. This video helps so much with many things that have happened. Thank you Amy!

This is great, giving both reflection of what I got cooking and what I have neglected; the number one of the latter being: #9, Outstanding Marketing. I can see how lacking that creates an obstacle to everything else I have got going, halting it from actually going. Thank you, Amy!

Connections is my biggest takeaway, I have always been a bit of a loaner, only invite people into my bubble, but you and your unstoppable actor's group has taught me not to be.

I sorta had these points to focus on already, but they were such a jumbled mess that I couldn’t readily describe what I had to work on. Thanks for clearing my fog.

I knew a good of of what u listed but not w the clarity u possess and describe. And for me I don’t like to schmooze or brag so marketing and connections have always been tough for me but I will carry on. Thx amy for ur vision

Making connections doesn't have to be any of those schmoozy/braggy things. You've just gotta change the way you think of it and then your approach follows (and the dread disappears)

The networking part is the trickiest being able to cultivate real human relationships with people in the industry can be hard especially when cds know when someone else is being friendly just to get an opportunity that relationship becomes transactional as opposed to the relationship you have with your friends that’s non transactional idk if I’m right but I think the best approach is to be direct and intentional when building relationships in the industry and then from there it can possibly grow into something more natural over time

There are so many ways to do this and still be authentic and in you integrity (which is ALWAYS the goal). If what you're doing is working, keep it up!

I'm not currently in a big market, but I've found it pretty challenging to find community with other actors in my city. Either the group is tight-knight - even a couple of the regional theatres act a bit "snooty," or actors I've met at various theatre auditions throughout the years are just not very friendly. Not sure if it's just my town or what...

Thanks for this fantastic video Amy Jo! I really, really need these reminders today! All 15 are relevant to me. However, for some reason right now I’ve been needing to be reminded to create a crystal clear vision. Visioning used to be a regular part of my life and then I’d have tunnel vision as I went about achieving my goals. However, like you said …when I don’t have a crystal clear vision I get a bit lost in the sauce. I think for me the demands of adulting have distracted me from creating a new vision after I accomplished some amazing Acting Career goals a few years back. That said I’m even more inspired to carve out some quality time to create a crystal clear vision. I know it works as I have experienced it many a times. I mean even as I write this note…as I look around my apartment…I envisioned this apartment before I even knew it existed. Lastly, this video is one I’ll be viewing a few times! Here's to jumping to the next level!
