Acting Tips From John Schneider

I just saw this interview yesterday (I know, a few years late). I loved it, and it truly explains how his roles are so authentic. But it got me thinking. Mr. Schneider, If you go into an audition room or meeting to discuss a role, taking on the persona of the role you are discussing, how did that work with your first special guest appearance on Touched By An Angel? That role was completely opposite of who you are and everything you stand for (I guess that was the point).

it is soooo hard to shake off a stereotype . i'm glad he embraced his 'bo duke' persona . he is brilliant, multi-dimensional, and a powerful presence . thanks for all you do john . we love and appreciate you .

One tiny mistake that I have ever seen him make was in one episode, called "Lulu Gone Away" I believe. Where they asked Cooter if he heard where Boss Hogg was going, at that point cooter told them as they were walking back to their car, John kind of messed up in that scene it didn't look natural, and so far that was the first and the last time he's ever made a mistake, the reaction was slightly OTT (over the top) lol

It was probably more of the writers mistake. I love the show but sometimes things seem a little off lol. Once I believe I saw Roscoe aim a gun for someone at a normal body height and he fired. The "bad guy" responded with "ouch my toe" or something, insinuating that he got shot in the toe
