as a taiwanese im so damn happy theres so much incorporation of taiwan cuisine in this episode. hope action goes to taiwan one day to eat bc the sheer amount of foods to try are fucking endless.
@Knowledge2137 ай бұрын
Still, would’ve been cool of the chef to pay homage to the Asian influences. Calling it “Alt-Pasta” is some bullshit. It’s Asian-Italian Fusion, let’s be real.

My gf and I were in NYC for my buddy's wedding last month. Win Son Bakery was recommended to us by her friend who lives there and we went there like 5 times in 3 days. Place absolutely smacks. Pricey & usually slammed shoulder-to-shoulder, but so so so worth it. The Scallion Pancake Bacon Egg and Cheese with like a ginger aioli sauce... dawg... life changing

Sharing my secret alt-pasta. Have not seen this dish in any Asian restaurant. Stir fry 1/4 cup super thin shredded velvet pork (two toothpicks thick) with one spring onion cut on a bias. Add two generous tbs of Bull Head BBQ with a serving of cooked spaghetti (ensure the BBQ sauce is thoroughly mixed). Halfway through the stir fry, add water or stock to get it slightly saucy and make stir-frying easier. Add just enough salt to bring out the flavor but keep it on the bland side. The aroma of the BBQ sauce is the star of the dish. WARNING: Stir fry the BBQ sauce will bring out a strong fish smell. Fight through it and you'll have an amazing noodle dish.

Great show! Very interesting combinations of flavors and cuisines and I really appreciate Action Bronson's attitude. The passion for food shines right through him! How does the chef emulsify hoisin with the butter? In Italian cuisine it could require a small amount of pasta water, so that the starch helps binding the fat with the liquid.
