The Goldendoodle dog was gorgeous! The people looked more normal and less ominous. I could swear it was a slightly younger version of Mark Zuckerberg devouring a sandwich across from you to your left. lol The guy across from you seemed a little uncomfortable regarding the camera at first but he was a good sport about it:-)

Hey, AK, glad you're getting around all right. Good idea to show how the MTA's ADA accommodations are limited in NYC, but guess it's better than none. Making lemonade out of lemons, hope you get healed up soon. In other news, the Man From Astoria song is written, thanks to your vids inspiring me, the story used to be about an an outlaw living with his grandpa and his girlfriend in Astoria, instead now it's about a guy (based on you) going all over NYC with your Segway all charged up and your GoPro on. In recording now, it's a rock genre with a hiphop beat. I grew up in the 70s so I'm kinda old school, but it'll be pretty fresh, no one imitates my style of rock.

The NYC subway system is woefully deficient in accessible stations. And unfortunately, many of the elevators turn into urinals. Many of the stations in the system are so old that that there can’t be escalators from the street level. And even stations that have escalators, if they’re out of order, they can be out of order for days. I can remember the escalators at 63rd and Lex were often out of order (and that was a deep station!!) and also the escalators at the 3rd Avenue end of the R train stop at Lex and 59th.

A.K., you have documented a real-life account of why Congestion Pricing was an ardent issue concerning N.Y.C.'s subway system. Subway elevators were installed in response to the A.D.A., a civil rights law signed in 1990 by G.W.B. (Bush 1). You (and Dad) have proven that 34 years later, N.Y.C. continues to fail a swath of its population who contribute significantly, including going as far as being Governor when David Paterson (visually impaired) served NY 2008-2010. You are an "accidental" hero in my book!
