This feels so much like Toronto in the 90s, our family would go to Chinatown every weekend for grocery shopping, when we had time we walked through downtown and eventually to the waterfront, once in awhile took the ferry to Toronto island. I love crowd fighting their ways through low shop houses, that what Toronto's Chinatown was like, traffic jammed for hours, now Chinese moved out of Chinatown and Asian supermarkets built everywhere so people didn't feel the need to come to Chinatown anymore, so many vacant shops, it's so sad. Asia feels like the hip place to be, people are at every corners, so alive and full of energy.

Hey Actionkid, just so you know "Tamsui" is pronounced more like "Dan-Shway". 淡水 (Dànshuǐ)/
@ActionKid5 ай бұрын
My pronunciation of Tamsui in English is closer to the Taiwanese Hokkien pronunciation. Dànshuǐ is the Mandarin Chinese pronunciation.
