Macy's Herald Square is their flagship store, a NYC shrine (see the movie Miracel on 34th St.), a tourist attraction and the main retail store in midtown Manhattan that creates foot traffic for all the other retail businesses. Walk into the store, step on the vintage wooden escalators and you're transported back to the 1940's. The NYC politicians and business leaders need to step in, promote the store more and stop any foolishness about the thought of selling the property and closing it.

Visit Dyker Heights in Brooklyn. Their houses surpass the displays of some of the stores. Make sure it's nighttime to get the full effect.
