I think what I love about his fighting style is that it is in fact not really "with style". Or rather, not with class. He is not deflecting or protecting himself like usual "heroes" fight. If he is unleashed, it is a very cold, brutal and direct. He is not disarming your knife, he will literally 'disarm' you

As an ex-prison officer I can tell you that sentenced inmate jails are much safer and less violent than remand centres..these guys know they are saying their for life and its kinda home for them..where as in remand centre people are fresh off the street, coming of drugs and every knew kid wanna prove himself..so I always smirk at this scene.

He didn't listen because he was white. The very first thing out of his mouth when he seen reacher was a racial slur. Most black men don't take white men serious in a fight. I'm not trying to sound racist, rude or ignorant in any way. I feel it's just a fact & this scene portrayed it pretty well.

@@Gameboy-Unboxings i don’t necessarily see it that way, but I respect your point. i think his arrogance is rooted more in the fact that he has his crew with him and thinks that will make a difference., and when he realizes Reacher is there he can’t back down or risk looking weak, so he has to front.
