Jon Bernthal as Punisher is seriously one of the best choices for casting in the MCU. Along with Charlie Cox's Daredevil and Kristyn Ritter's Jessica Jones (in terms of the Netflix shows) I really wish I could see em together, maybe for Born Again? And it really helps with the problem of a stunt-man sitting in the background of a shot waiting to enter that The Last Jedi and Matrix Revolutions had, I mean jesus its egregiously bad how you can see people just hover and wait, and here the editing and choreography makes it look completely natural, I mean he's coming from one side, people charge him from the other, so whenever he hits a non-fatal blow they stumble behind him and start to get back up and he handles them again. Actually Daredevil and all the other MCU Netflix shows take place before Infinity War and Endgame, so technically this is years before Nick Fury was in space with the Skrulls. Specifically, Daredevil Season 2 is in September or October 2015 after Age of Ultron, Ant Man (but a couple months before the after credits scene where Scott learns Falcon is looking for him, which is in December 2015 sometime after Peter became Spider-Man) and the 2nd season of Agents of SHIELD.

Fun fact: They actually had John Bernthal murder 9-12 guys for this scene. The director kept saying "We want it to look real" and Bernthal was really good at murdering a bunch of random guys. They had to do a whole bunch of takes to get the blood smear to look like the punisher skull. "I musta killed about-" Bernthal chuckled before looking deadpan into the camera "I musta killed about 50 guys that day"
