The best sounding exhaust for the S55 has to be: stock downpipes, AA equal length mid pipe, and M Performance muffler.

The best s55 I’ve heard so far is the top gear equal length and their muffler, sounds a bit like a jz down low and s54 top end. Madmax with AA equal length sounds good as well

Yeah theres so many different setups with the Active Autowerke Equal Length. I havent heard top gear equal length yet.

I honestly think your setup sounded the best. It just reminded me of that old school British 6 cylinder sound from a jag or an Aston db5. I’d be interested to see if it changes much with a catless and catted downpipe.

Yeah I thought the same. I'm most likely keeping my current setup. It would be interesting to hear how it sounds with a different downpipe but I wont be doing that till the warranty goes out.

Ya urs sounds the best for sure bro but it’s so custom I’d love to do it the same but cutting the exhaust and fitting it is out of my expertise and Balsy if u don’t do it right ur screwed haha! But that’s what makes ur car unique! Good job man!

Haha thanks. But you could always get my setup. You'll just need the version 1 AWE SWITCHPATH along with the Active Autowerke's Equal Length Mid-Pipe with the AWE connector pipe. The connector pipe is available from Active Autowerke. The hard part is finding the version 1 exhaust

In my opinion yours sounds better because the exhaust sound has more frequency's the mad max has a more conservative flat monotone sound. maybe because yours is non resonated but I think your exhaust would sound even better if it was catless I'm biased I like loud, high and low tones.

Yeah im a big fan of my current setup. They all sound extremely unique in their own way. I do agree with a catless DP it would sound amazing. I do think the Madmax setup with a catless DP would be an amazing setup too.

Yeah its a great sounding exhaust, I think its $2,499.00 for the rear section. Plus their midpipe is about $1299.00 which is cheaper than my AWE SWITCHPATH Exhaust lol. I'd hit up Euromotive Performance to see if they can get a deal since they are a vendor

That all depends, do you have the gen 1 or gen 2 ? The gen 1 version will fit directly if you select the AWE version on active autowerke's selections of the equal length midpipe. Gen 2 the design was modified and it won't fit directly.

Depends if you have catless downpipes, it's reccomended that you go with resonated equal length. If you have stock downpipes you can go with non resonated. These setups will optimize sound depending on which downpipe you have.
