In this Autodesk Fusion 360 Tutorial we make components solid black again. After activating components, a problem some users run into is that they don’t manage to make other components than the root component black again. Other parts become grey or transparent, like their opacity settings are off. Some users, both experienced Fusion 360 users and Fusion 360 CAD beginners, doesn’t manage to re-activate other components in their design and objects are show with 100% opacity or in different grey scales.
In this video I will show how I changed the active components settings in the preferences.

I like the comment below, Confusion 360, how appropriate is that. Great software but certainly not intuitive. Anyway, thanks for the fix that lead me to re-activate the design by right-clicking on the file name at the top of the legend and clicking activate.

I like Autodesk Fusion 360. It is a nice program once you get into it. Maybe it's not the right fit for you? What do you want to accomplish with your modeling?

@@The_maker_letters I was ranting, the problem(s) I was experiencing were not Fusion 360 caused, it was a combination of drivers from Dell and NVidia, which also caused Prusa slicer and Google earth to crash without any explanation, as soon as I disabled Nvidia, problem solved on ALL applications. so, my anger, is now aimed fairly and squarely at Nvidia and i hope the fleas of a thousand camels infect everyone who works at Nvidia.

@@The_maker_letters me too, I got so wound up about these crashes i was about to give up and buy a new laptop! it was only by chance and lateral thinking i found the cause! I have been using Fusion for over 6 years now, It was horrible when after a lot of work it crashed out!
