And you know what? There's some pretty scary historical Japanese women that COULD have been used as inspiration. I'll urge you to do some research, but at least a few of them have gone toe-to-toe with famous samurai and BEAT THEM. Issue is, those were EXCEPTIONAL women, who EARNED their accolades. They didn't even use katana; they used bows, naginata and nagamaki for the most part. I could even point to Nohime, Oda Nobunaga's wife. Who was as balls-to-the-walls hardcore as Nobunaga himself. There are plenty of people still doing couch co-op and Nintendo is the only company that caters to us. But, yeah, they really need to stop suing people and start hiring rom hackers to do their localizations and remakes. I recently came across this Infinite Dungeon project which Nintendo is actually pushing. It's a cool idea: converting Link to the Past into a randomised rogue-like. However, it's pretty simple, there doesn't seem to be any progression between runs, each run takes two hours because the difficulty is low right up until the last few stages, and it doesn't actually use the original rom but is a recreation in Game Studio so it isn't really ALTTP. Compare that to the randomizer patches, which do use the original roms, and it's pretty weak, maybe only worth one or two playthroughs. Meanwhile, not only can you play the original game with a whole new flow, but they can actually splice in other games, like Super Metroid, to combine the experience. On top of that, there are options for all sorts of customisations and orchestral versions of the soundtracks. Nintendo could be doing amazing if they were willing to work with fans instead of suing them,

Fighter pilots have been measured able to sense over 90 FPS. Then there's herz. 50-90 Hz is considered good to most, but some people can detect flickering in up to 500 Hz. That said, I agree that there are too many resources spent on these things. We've hit the point of diminishing returns a long time ago. I was willing to try Yotai originally. But my god the more i dug in and heard about, the more exhausted and frustrated i felt. WTF, everything is going woke and/or bankrupt at the same time. Pattern recognition is a helluva thing. My brother and I both recognized a pattern with these Playstation franchises. The first game is a massive hit and usually is a game that released pre-2020, and then the second game comes out years later as a leftist propaganda piece. Because every single time, the good employees who make the first game leave their studios, and then the studios bring a bunch of left-wing extremists in to work on a sequel. Happened with The Last of Us (that was mostly Druckmann), God of War, Horizon, Spiderman, and now Ghost of Tsushima. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Never buy sequels to Playstation games.

Games generally have never been historically accurate, but there is a big distinction between past games and those of today. Old games were inaccurate back then because the devs either merely used the period for the setting, or just plain rule of cool. Fair enough, games first and foremost are made to be fun. Besides, if you wanted to learn about accurate history you'd pick up a book instead. Nowadays though? They're only inaccurate to check boxes and push an agenda.

I saw a video of ENDYMIONtv alleging the dev team that made Ghost of Tsushima is no more but instead replaced by dei and woke people, so this game is dead on arrival ... . People like these anywhere near a game is a symptom of an uncurable disease in my opinion so I tend to believe it. Even if you are tired don't give up, we are men after all!

Studios like that are often a nightmare to work in and have a relatively high employee turnover rate. A while back, I was playing Dragon Age Origins and checking the Wiki, which usually noted who wrote certain quests of characters. A large chunk of the designers who worked on the game left between DA 2 and Inquisition (which, may I remind you, brought Anita Sarkeesian in for consultation).
