What is so important about this series of B'way songs is that they were recorded in the middle of Covid. I enjoy how you try to explain little and big things that the artist did to create her own take on the song. You might want to react on her originals since all of the videos that you have reacted are all covers so far. She got "Phoenix" in English or "Akin Ka Na Lang" (in her own language) which really showcase her ability in drawing you to the story of the song.

Mori growling slays me every time. I do believe she is even more expressive when singing in Tagalog. Though sung by many Filipinos, "Akin Ka Na Lang" and "Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw" are considered hers. Check 'em out.

I didn't know this song until I heard Mori cover it and she did such a good job acting through song that I loved the song. I hope you listen to 'Memory' because she sang that flawlessly. Mori was 24 when she did these Broadway songs. We were in lockdown and she found a way during that time to be productive in her craft. This was done online at home that's why everything was minimal. She's 26 now.

Wonderful reaction, Morissette is truly inspiring like wow what else can she not do🫣 she’s pitch perfect. This girl is phenomenal. One of the things I love about her is when she sings a song, she definitely feels the song and build it from beginning to end. She do a lot of covers and no joke her versions of the song are way better than the originals. Her original songs are hard to cover😂 I’ve seen a lot of reactors reacting to her LIVE performances on WishBus radio station. A lot of vocal teachers have their jaw dropped one by one😅 I would like it very much to see more of Morissette in your channel. All the best on your new movie I’ll be sure to check it out.

Morissette is my favorite singer (not even close) and it's due to her balancing incredible vocal abilities with maybe the best emotion I have ever heard into her songs. So her version is always going to be something I love. That said, I'm not a musical theater guy by any stretch of the imagination, but Jeremy's version is just life-altering. I've probably seen it 20 times and despite never seeing the musical every time I see it I FEEL every ounce of pain the character is experiencing. It's utterly magical. Morissette has a WAY better voice and did an amazing job on this, but yeah....Jeremy owns it as far as I'm concerned.

This is a sample of what Morissette Amon does! She is 26 years old. The video you saw was when she was younger. The Philippines requires Tagalog (national language) and American English for all of its citizens. The region determines the other language. Morissette Amon was born and raised in Cebu. The local language is Bisayan, which is her 1st language. English is her 2nd language. Tagalog is her 3rd language. Strongly suggested video 🎥 Akin Ka Na Lang. Wishbus version. Sung in Tagalog.

Hi Ced, nice insightful reaction. Always love watching theater folks gush over Mori's diction and phrasing. Here are a few more theater tidbits I'll title her 'Kim Connections', cheers! - she counts Joanna Ampil (West End legend) as a 'big sister' and has performed with her in a Stages' musical in the Philippines in 2015. Mori also had recently watched Joanna play Jenna in a Waitress show in Manila (2018) - Lea Salonga is 'Judge Lea' to her as she was one of the judges in her season of the Voice of the Philippines. She also has a spitting image cover of Lea's 'I'd Give My Life For You' in this same Stages series - Mori herself auditioned for Kim in an open call from the Miss Saigon team but didn't get the part
