I have to say how much I admire this amazing woman. Even though her voice was not in good condition she still performed because she was committed and didn’t want to let the organisers down. I have seen the original of this song and Morissette in my opinion raised this song to another level. She was fearless and beautiful at the same time with this performance. Generally speaking, Tagalog is a very percussive sounding language. But this one of the hardest songs to sing in OPM-whichbis Origina Pilipino Music. This song is so sad and the way she performed this on the WishBus is my fave. Sitting down, love, and cross legged. She wasn't actually 100% during this performance. This song is about a relationship that's doomed. The person is deciding whether to stay or go and be happy. At the end of the song, she ended up choosing herself and her happiness. It's such an anthem. I have always said this and will always say it. You do not just listen to Morisette but you experience her. She is 99.9% technically sound but the emotion and her ability to draw it out of a song through dynamics, shaping, etc., she makes you feel them.

Thank you, Cedric, for going back to reacting to Morissette.👍👍 This "Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw" ("I Already Want To Let Go") was part of the soundtrack for a Philippine TV drama series entitled "The Broken Marriage Vow". I think there were about five songs interpreted by different artists for that soundtrack, but it was Morissette's song that got very popular and viral, and there's no wondering why. She really put herself in character with the song. You are correct, it is a kind of monologue by the wife who's hurting, broken-hearted and in pain because her beloved husband is cheating on her. Imagine the turmoil she was going through, and the hard choice she had to make between letting go of that failed marriage, and holding on despite the suffering because she still loved him. I know you can internalize that yourself because you are also a good actor. How I wish that Wish had put on the English subtitles to this video so that non-Filipiinos would readily understand the song, apart from the emotions that Morissette was able to effectively convey through her artistic, heart-rending, powerful and intense performance. 🥰
