Hahaha--as always, I absolutely adore your reaction, Cedric; as a writer and filmmaker, your reactions are filled with so much more depth than practically any other reactor out there. All I can say is (to paraphrase a certain street urchin) "More, sir--may we please have more???" This is one of my favorite performances by him because it gives him a chance to demonstrate his showmanship and TOTAL ability to engage an audience. He "plays" us--in such a good way--inviting us to his party......and we GLADLY "play" right along!! I'm STILL laughing each time I think back on how in a later interview, he sheepishly admitted he wouldn't have been so "flirty/cheeky" with the audience had he known his dad was out in the audience. I mean, even--E V E N--without that voice being touched by God, ya just gotta love this guy!!! LOL

Thanks so much, Dear Cedric! This whole performance is so fun and playful, with Dimash getting his flirt on, his fellow contestants losing their minds backstage, and the audience loving every single second of it! And that cheeky little smile of his, is just everything...🤗

If you watch this performance on Gloria Wu’s channel, there are English subtitles and you can get the backstory including that the gentleman who fist pumps at the end is Dimash’s dad. He flew into China from Kazakhstan to surprise Dimash after this performance. Heart warming reunion and very humble Dimash asking his dad if he did well. Very sweet and worth seeing.

What I love most, other than everything about this performance, is when he crosses his arms across the front of his chest and abdomen. That would never appear on any vocal instruction book unless it had a 🚫 over it. Another great reaction Mr. C.

At the same venue he later sang a song called "Autumn Strong". A beautiful, emotional song about a sad relationship between a Chinese composer and his Japanese girlfriend who was later deported back to Japan when her true nationality was revealed towards the end of WW II. Dimash learned to sing the song in Mandarin for the Chinese audience. I believe he learned it in a weeks time. Native Mandarin speakers say his pronunciation is flawless. The audience were honored that he made the effort and brought to tears by his rendition of a song and story they knew all too well.

Great reaction, Cedric. Dimash won in Im a singer, episodes 1 with SOS, episode 2 with Opera 2 and episode 6 with Adagio, extraordinary performances. The rest of the presentations were also magnificent. Really the production of Im a singer was of the highest level, the lights, the musicians, the supporting voices, the costumes. As for the musical arrangements of Dimash's performances, it was Dimash himself who decided and arranged the arrangements together with his friend and arranger Erlan. Grettings from Nicaragua 🇳🇮

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "Popera" he also has a very pleasant, Humble and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, against TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from Venezuela🇻🇪, "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. Your smiles when watching Dimash always say it all. Those of us who have done all the work getting Dimash to #1 on the MTV youtube channel Friday Livestream could use the help of other Dears in order to keep him there. We came within 30 minutes of losing him his rightful place at the top last week but just enough of us came through to keep Dimash at #1 for a third week in a row. For assured success we need the help of a few more fans tuning into the weekly livestream at 5-8 pm New York time. Calculate your time zone difference and then type REQUEST DIMASH as many times as possible in the chat during the three hours that the livestream airs. Success on MTV is important to Dimash and it should be important to those of us who love him as well.

I LOVE, love, LOVE your reactions to our Dimash! Love that you notice EVERYTHING...the emotions, the lighting, the body movements...I notice even the choice of what he wears!!Loved that you reacted to this song but on your off time, watch the extended version. It shows his dad, who did the fist pump, surprise him by showing up and the surprise on Dimash's face and the really emotional moment at the end. FYI...Dimash is SUPER humble and he has a vulnerable spot regarding his singing, I think, with his dad. He asks his him"Did I sing well?"...and he makes a comment to someone that if he had known his dad was in the audience, he wouldn't have been so cheeky! lol! OH!! and try to watch the videos allll the way until the end because you will see what a big heart he has towards his "dears" and to the band members because he takes the time to appreciate them and thanks them for their performance! Can't wait to see more of your reactions!

Thank you again, Cedric, for pointing out some things we may not have noticed. You're very positive and upbeat and have become one of my favorite Dimash reactors. I'd like to make two performance suggestions, both from his Bastau concert. His country sponsored this concert for him after his huge victory in China and it was attended by 40,000 people in 2017. Those two songs are Daididau, a Kazakh folk song, and Daybreak, a Chinese song about a true story of a couple who lifted their infant son to safety before perishing in a cable car accident. Thank you.... from a Las Vegas Dear!

Hi Cedric, Brilliant reaction to this fun performance from Dimash. SOS was Ep1, this was Ep2, when Dimash left for this comp in China he just travelled with a mate from Kazakhstan, his dad couldn't go because of his own commitments but said he would get there as soon as he could, that was his dad doing the fist pump at the end and dimash didnt know he'd arrived, the producers had kept him hidden away during the day. There is a slightly longer version of this, whereby when Dimash is just thanking the musicians his dad is pushed forward and Dimash sees him he just jumps off the stage to hug him and picks him up and spins him round, then it shows them walking back to the green room. Dimash said afterwards if he'd known his dad was there he would'nt have been so cheeky and flirty !! 👍👍👌👌😊😊

Is it true that Vitas complained about Dimash Kudaibergen singing his song "Opera 2" on I'm Singer stage? It’s my understanding that the problem with Dimash singing the song was not that he sang it (although some claim that Vitas was jealous because Dimash sang it better), but that the Singer show did not get the proper copyright permissions for the use of the song on the show before it aired. I believe they did actually get the permissions after the fact, but the damage was already done as far as Vitas was concerned. Vitas said that he would never again give permission for Dimash to sing the song in any venue for any reason, essentially banning Dimash from ever singing it again.

Hi, I actually found another vid on here of Dimash/Opera 2, I was surprised after learning about vitas lawsuit threat, the vid was after Singer comp and from memory it was another TV show - I believe whilst he can stop Dimash adding to his repertoire, there are instances where this (or any other copyright cases) can be overcome. I did add it to my favourites but haven't checked to see if its still there .. might have been taken down by YT, I must have a look !!

hi Cedric! Based on your comments, I think you'd also enjoy Dimash's performances of Ogni Pietra and the Diva Dance. Ogni Pietra is an opera song (composed for Dimash by Igor Krutoy (they've done several collaborations)) which has a really dramatic performance and highlights a contrast between his lower and higher ranges--it sounds like a duet between a baritone and a soprano. You may already be familiar with the song Diva Dance from the Fifth Element, so it'd be interesting to hear your thoughts on Dimash's version (I recommend the Bastau 2017 concert video); he did a new arrangement on a couple sections with some impressive runs, and the core of the song utilizes more of the 6th octave staccato notes including an F6. The original song was created digitally, so it's wild to see a human perform it so well live!
