Completely astounded by this entire interview #SkeletonKey 🔥 Eye-opening as well; feel like I learned so much about the world of Horology & the art/craftsmanship behind it, etc. Truly amazing. And as someone whose multi-faceted in their passions, I love to see folks dive deeper into theirs, especially their core-most passion (the 1 we feel most connects us to our core purpose), which to me is often the 1 least expected.

So excited to see "A. Hodge Atelier" branch launch. Just recently started researching watchmaking and to hear that Aldis bought Joshua Shapiro's (of J.N. Shapiro) Engine Turning machines made me do a double take. His passion for watches/art/design is so apparent...I mean hell...usually actors are the spokespeople, not the manufacturers of luxury goods. What a renaissance man!

What a great conversation. So many areas touched on, but failure is one that I absolutely get and agree with. As a flight instructor, one of the first things taught is the Definition of Learning. Learning is DEFINED as “a change in behavior as a result of experience”. The very nature of learning is rooted in failure. “Rats in a maze” is what I always added. Without failure, there is no learning. Just hate that the word has such a negative vibe…to fail is not a bad thing, but a necessary one in order to be better. What an incredible young man, and what a great story. To see a new generation of passion in the production side of horology is rare, and even more so when it’s realized and brought to market. Best video I’ve ever seen on WatchBox Studios. Thanks for having this conversation and always opening my eyes to what is out there yet unknown to me.

Great interview. Some of the negative comments on here, not sure I understand. Clearly this man is a innovator, trying different things, following his passion. Got to respect that. Hats off to you Aldis. Would be nice to see some of the watches, I guess we will see and learn more later.

Aldis has a teaser on the company website and the silhouette their willing to show is beautiful but the crown logo looks so detailed it’s either a rendering of the finished product using his VR software or it will blow your mind when you see it in real life.

Very interesting gentleman. Not many interviewees provide that much insight into their thought process. I wonder if his process is similar or dissimilar to other watch makers. Just fun to hear how the “sausage” is conceived before it is made. Makes you contemplate how much thought goes into todays current production watches.

Gosh, He likes to hear the sound of his voice. He spoke for 30 minutes and didn’t tell us anything. Started with G.Forsey,he’s such a modest guy. I have to agree with someone else here who said : just stick to the acting. H.Asaoka, why would you mention Real true Watchmaker‘s who made the product with their own hands in the same context as you? Why? Not to even go to Breguet, dang man! Or at least just don’t talk until you do it and then show it to everybody. I’ve seen several of interviews like this in last 5-6 years and never saw one inkling of this watch. "You are in a game for half of your life! "Oh my God you are in a game, please!!! It's embarrassing to watch this. And I honestly have any open mind but dude, "less talk, more walk " Good luck
@PixelPerfect32 жыл бұрын
I kinda agree, he’s been talking for years at this point but hasn’t shown anything yet. I wish him success and he seems like a nice guy but don’t talk so much until you have shown us something

@@davehan241 I am not a fake watchmaker like A.H. or brainwashed pod like yourself you goofy little fanboy. I'm not claiming I'm making something and talk about Breguet, Daniells and similar masters like I'm on the same level like your boyfriend does.
