He played superheroes in the movies, but it turned out that he actually WAS a Super Hero off the silver screen. Didn't realize what an amazing human being Mr. Boseman was. We are blessed to have had, over the past decade, the joy of his presence, his acting, his charity, his humility, his heart, and his creativity.

Your words of encouragement really reminded me of how much Chadwick showed us that we can be real-life superheroes without superpowers or supersuits, and how great it feels to do good in the world and be selfless. Chadwick Boseman, I hardly knew you, but thank you so much for showing me how much it matters to be a good person your whole life. If I died as young as Chadwick, I would spend every year of my life up to that point (and beyond if I lived longer than 43) advocating for equal rights for black women and other people of color to end or at least reduce racism and sexism in our country. I taught myself how to negotiate equal pay, tell police officers to not be racist, and discourage pollution. Another big thing I would like to do with my life if I never get to do those things? Meet OK KO's maker, Ian Jones-Quartey. He is probably the first black creator of an animated series at Cartoon Network. Since Cartoon Network might not have had other black creators before him, I really hope Ian got other people of color to work behind the scenes of OK KO: Let's Be Heroes, because there is a good chance that George Floyd protests made him regret casting Ashly Burch for Enid, and he should have gotten an African-American woman to voice Enid like he had for her parents. I actually found out my Father had Pancreatic cancer while sitting in the theater about to watch Black Panther for the first time. I truly admire and respect Chadwick, and I find it strange that I found him while discovering cancer in my own family, while he was struggling with his cancer in his family. In his story He too, had lost his Father, while I was beginning to accept that I would be losing mine, he was learning to find his place in his role in the story as T'challa, while I was learning to understand my own journey, and still am. Look for connections in your life and you will find them.💕💞

The media kept making references to how thin and how tired he looked all the time. Never once did he decide to answer any of them, never once was he tempted to explain why. He had his family and his closest friends who shared the pain with him, and not one of those he trusted, broke the trust by divulging his secret, for a huge pay day, to any of the vultures like TMZ. So he died as he lived and now has the respect of everyone, movie buff or not as both an actor and as a human being, who turned out to be a very real hero, in the end!!!! Respect my friend. MAD RESPECT!!!

Maybe we are impacted by their art along the way but we shouldn’t willfully crawl up into their privacy. Sources like TMZ make that intrusion possible and you’ve reminded me that it’s just a small but comforting feeling that they didn’t get to do that this time.

So sad to hear this! I loved his acting and the way he talked about his family, especially his mom and all his cousins. I loved that he professed his faith even in Hollywood. I loved that he was an educated black man. I loved his apparent kind and gentle spirit and even as a fan, I loved how he kept his privacy. My heart breaks but I acquiesce my sadness to those he loved most. As a mother, his especially and his beloved dad.....I pray for all of them and his wife who he apparently wanted to ensure she would be Mrs. Boseman before his demise-what great love. I select my movies by the actor. If Denzel (and now his son), Meryl, Tom Hanks and a very few others are in a movie I am never disappointed. I think I've seen every movie he's done because when I saw his name, I knew it would be great. To God be the glory for a life God has rewarded. "You made your mark, everyone will know Chad was here." May grace and mercy be with your family and Mrs. Boseman💗.

@@pktz_01 I think the arrival of the coronavirus here in the U.S. shocked us away from Kobe. People were still grieving, and weren't ready to let him go, but we had no choice but to turn our attention away. It was the beginning of the world pandemic. So...I understand. I didn't even watch basketball, but I still felt his loss.

This manifests a deeper pain for me. I lost my mother a few years ago to Uterine cancer and she was only 42. I was her care giver and had to take care of my younger brothers. The sadness in his eyes hidden by a warm smile reminded me of the look in my mother's eyes. She wanted to live so bad and fought to the very end. When she had bouts of energy and wanted to clean the house or go out to shop for herself, I looked at her confused like how? The fact that Chad worked during his pain will resonate with me for my entire life because it showed how much he wanted to live for the people just to give them joy. My brothers and I wanted to surprise her on Mother's day with special festivities to honor her. she tried to hold on to give her kids that joy because we kept talking about it but she passed the week before. In her final moments she kept apologizing and I felt so bad. Chadwick's passing brings me back to that day of losing someone who was my world. I am asking for his family to do a separate funeral for the public because his fans are heart broken and would like to give him that honor. Rest in peace my king 🙏. #WakandaForever

He's my hero!!! For two years now I've been diagnosed with: rectal cancer but I can't seem to get the answers I need and what to do. My heart goes out to his family and his friends and it's so wonderful to see everybody gather around him when he needed help. I'm 71 female I in the beginning I had a Help From My Family but now I don't and I'm so alone I don't know what could have happened I cry a lot. It makes my heart Happy just know he had people standing by him sometimes I just sit and cry I don't know anybody here and don't get much family support because it's easier than everything is going away. I try 2 keep going but some days I can't. I'm exhausted. Some days I wake up in the middle of the night and I'm bleeding all over everything my son who I live with by the house so I wouldn't have to stay in an apartment by myself. Because of some of the issues I have and they don't understand but all the sudden I just start bleeding all over everything fell down on the floor trying to get to the bathroom but there was blood all over the floor; has happened to me twice
@kathleen64594 жыл бұрын
I am so glad that he had the support than he can do what needs to be done I would just like some friends I don't know anybody here he had friends and they were there for him. That means more and anything else that he had the support and love. I am so proud to see somebody who is going to so many issues stand up and do what he wanted to do in life and that's amazing this man I am so proud to know somebody like that I don't really know from TV and movies has the strength and and still going out to help people. I am so happy for him and he had support and he had people who cared and he cared for people. He was one of God's special people. I'm sitting here crying because I don't have friends and my family thinks that I should be able to do all the stuff I did before I try but my age I need support that's what I need 71 in a place where I don't know anybody and I'm a burden to my family my son try but he works can't help and he has some spine issues that make it hard for him to do what he needs to do there's so much and then he needs to do to the house play the most liked the day he brought me to the house all of a sudden I wind up with cancer he bought a house for me. I know he has a hard time dealing with me so he doesn't talk to me I spend most of my time in my room because of sometimes it's just easier that way because of I look so terrible. My Heroine never had that problem I am so happy for him he has family and friends that rally around him and made him feel special and when you have something like cancer and you can't get into if you can't get love he is a wonderful wonderful man. I am so glad did he had people around him to talk with him and listen to him and love him hug him when he needed a hug Denzel Washington it's such a great man but I know he was there for him and I know he knew what to expect when talking with him. I would have liked to have personally met him. But I said a prayer yesterday and when I got up this morning. Disease it's funny because if I can't get a lot of information from anybody I had all the proper tests done and everything and then all of a sudden but even a year after my colonoscopy it showed up. He will be my hero and I will thank you him every day and think about all the hope and love he shared with people. He is my hero and I hope and I can get out and ride some more and go and see people at the hospital who are sick any items or ideas somebody may have I can keep going and do things would be wonderful I don't I have the support but I have the heart so that I can go read or talk with these people I'm just be kind because being alone is hard thank God he was never alone and he always had people there for him and family God bless his family and his friends everybody who stood with him and beside them so because when you're sick and you know that you're not getting better it's so good to have people around people that love you and I know he received from his family and that makes my heart kissed the full of love for his family me also God bless you you are a wonderful person and I wish I had the chance to meet you and talk with you. And you thought I made some punctuation or did not make the sentences right I have daddy issues because of my brain hasn't been working right since I had chemo and sometimes things don't go together and this beautiful man he found out what I am missing. I just want to send my love to family and all his close friends you guys were with a gifted wonderful talents a special person
