Honestly first time I heard of him saw him on screen was when the unspeakable trilogy came out and he really gave it his all, He nailed it. It was the story/plot that floundered. Since then I've seen him absolutely kill roles, gotta say my favorite so far is White Noise.. Weird movie but he just makes a presence. Top teir actor for sure.
