I think TG asked for the current storyline so he has something substantial to do on GH. He's now a supporting cast member and is fighting for strong storylines like the rest of the regular cast and I guess he thinks this Ethan's dad thing is the best way. Logically, Ethan should be Robert's biological son with Luke trying to be more of a father figure to him. To me that would play better dramatically. I don't buy that he cheated on Laura during their happy years. Just doesn't make sense.

IA. That is why I can't understand why people are saying that Tony is acting like he don't care about the fans, Luke&Laura, or what anyone thinks of the story he is doing now. I don't believe he would act in this way. Esp. toward the fans, the story or Genie. I absolutely believe that he adores her. Always have as will. People are saying he asked for this story. What do you guys think?

He was tired of being a part of LnL, he wanted to take Luke in a dark direction. He also wanted to be paired with his friend Jane Elliot who plays Tracy Quartermaine. He basically told the fans they needed to grow up and quit acting like spoiled children of divorced parents and to realize their parents are never getting back together. He did a scathing interview about GH and the fans after he retired. He was really rude and showed his true feelings. He even said Jane Elliot was his favorite and best onscreen couple. He seems to forget that the only reason he got to stay on GH was the tremendous chemistry with Genie Francis.

I strongly suspected that he and Genie were not real friendly towards the end. Genie was a lady and was always sweet and complimentary towards Tony. I think Tony was sad, burnt out, and frustrated, and Genie understood. I love Tony, but he's far from perfect! Glad he seems happy now,and that we have the KZbin reruns.

I don't think, now that Tony's retired, that there is still animosity. I think in the end, there is a certain amount of caring. I just think that they began in the last GH years to lead very different lives!
