My hatred for mlms grew in the past month. I had my second baby on 2/6 and on 2/11 I received a text from a “friend” saying “ready to get your old body back and slim down in time for summer?” When I kindly said no, she kept pushing and pushing saying “no need to hold on to all that weight” and “you’ll be so happy to do this, I know you could really benefit from it” like bish, I just had a baby less than a week ago and that stuff you’re pushing isn’t even fda regulated and gif knows what that could do to my breast milk, my main priority is feeding my child not losing weight. 😒

You convinced me 1000% to get brown mascara. I don’t know how I’ve been sleeping on that for this long. What you did is kinda how I tend to do my makeup in that I use such tiny amounts. Just enough to even out my skin without removing all sign of skin. I have rosacea so I always have a lot of red in my cheeks and nose but I don’t want - most days - to totally erase the colour just to add blush so all I really do is knock back the redness so that it’s just a nice glow instead of cranky looking. But the brown mascara really sealed the deal for me. Best no makeup makeup tutorial, hands down. And I’m with you .. when I watch movies/shows that are either period pieces so they’re not supposed to have cosmetics but their skin is flawless, or the character is supposed to be not wearing makeup but, again, they look flawless, I wonder if they just have the best filters ever or what kind of magic their makeup artists possess that they’ve been keeping from us? But I think this must be how they do it. Tiny bits just where it’s needed.

this is my goal for complexion routine, no matter what i want to wear on my eyes, lips, or anything else. i've seen other people do something similar to this that really does look, at least in terms of the base makeup, like they're not wearing anything, but some of them are wearing like 1-3 mattifying primers, etc, etc. this is a single product and it looks literally seamless.

It looks so good!! The skin is perfection. The bronzer placement really makes it look like "ranch hand with a low pony". The only thing that I personally can see as make up is the mascara on the bottom lashes. But the top lashes just look like thick natural lashes. Great job with the video and no make up.

That’s kind of how I do my makeup for work except I use concealer and I do use a little eye makeup. I’m 70 and work in a drs office and people don’t believe that I’m that age and they tell me how nice my skin is! It looks so much better than using a face full of foundation…and it only takes me about 15 minutes to do.

This approach for skin has been my go to for years! I never liked it to look like I had a layer of foundation on my skin. When I had acne prone skin I used bare minerals bisque with the teensiest brush and would apply a tiny amount only on spots to cover the redness

Such a good time for this video! I’m 24 (lots of facial redness too) and have literally been doing my makeup just like this (aside from the Freck & using a concealer rather than the dermacol) for probably 4 years. Was on the brown mascara train in 2019, etc. Often I wondered if my peers were judging me because I am so “under done” but it’s easier for me and less effort so I kept doing it. Then tonight I was bartending and one of my customers said, “I just have to tell you, you have beautiful skin.” and I wanted to be like it’s actually not, it’s concealer and I’m sweaty, but I didn’t have time for that. 😂 Then opened YT and here was this video! Anyway, thanks for making me feel seen and validated Kristi! ❤

this is how i've started doing my skin makeup for the last 3-4 months, and I love it SO MUCH. I don't FEEL the makeup on my face, and it's wonderfuuuullll. The only difference is i do use brown mascara, and I do fill my brows in to match my natural red hair, because my lashes and brows are literally invisible blonde, and I do not like how that looks. Lol And i've always loved the look of people who have naturally darker pigmentation around their eyes, so I go in with a little bit of light brown shadow just close to the lash line. Sometimes i'll do a brown liner on the top lashes only, but it's so light and airy and natural feeling, because like 90% of it is my actual skin. Sometimes I'll do a very light contour where it just looks like the barest hint of a shadow under my cheekbones if i'm feeling that on whatever day. And I've mostly stopped using brushes all together except for if i decide to add blush or the hint of contour. otherwise, i'm basically just fingerpainting on my face in the few spots that need it. And honestly, my skin is starting to look better than it ever has when i was doing the full beat. love that we're both on this journey! 🧡

I keep a tube of the Wet n Wild Incognito concealer (perfect shade match to my skin) and an eyebrow pencil in my purse. So if I'm going somewhere (my husband would be driving), I can touch up my face, very much like you are doing. I literally have blonde, sparse eyebrows. So they do need a lot of help. I wear a slightly opaque lip gloss and I'm ready for the day!!

You just described my entire routine (moisturizer, minimal use of tinted moisturizer, super light powder, mascara, lip liner & lip oil) at the 0:55 minute mark. ALL of the freckles show.
