ACUITY 1914 Base Bushing Install Video Guide (10th Gen Honda Civic 6m/t)

The OEM base bushings on most Hondas and Acuras are made from highly compliant rubber. Thanks to leverage, the small amount of compliance the rubber adds equates to a very noticable "spongy" feeling in the shift knob during shifts. This bushing kit replaces the OEM rubber bushings with rigid 6061-T651 aluminum making for a much more decisive shift, even with a stock shifter. As an added touch, the bushings are coated in a purple Type 2 anodized finished, laser etched, and paired with class 10.9 flat-head mounting bolts.

Very thorough video. As much as i would like to solve some of my shifter problems i'm not prepared to remove that amount of interior just to swap bushings though. Bless honda's heart. They really made it hard to get down there didn't they?

There's definitely a learning curve on it, but it's not intimidating after doing it once. You might consider the stage 2 kit that upgrades a bunch of bits on the shifter. Or the POCO knob is a good way to get a throw reduction with just a shift knob change. Happy modding either way! :)
