I’m having 20-30 pvcs a day at most but reading that some are experiencing up to 200 is mind blowing. I’m hoping they got some sort of treatment to help reduce how many they are experiencing daily 🙏🏼

I've had three acute instances of AFib. It's not chronic. It's triggered by very specific things alcohol caffeine. I also experience PVCs. Seems like it might be somewhat related to GERD or digestive issues or vagus nerve issues. Seattle Washington. Any recommendations you can make would be wonderful. Thank you.

I have episodes where my heart beats very quickly out of nowhere for several minutes before switching back into a normal, slower rhythm. It’s not a gradual rise in bpm it turns on and off like a switch. Sometimes it even wakes me out of sleep when an episode happens. It usually creates a state of panic in my brain. What is this? Why does it happen? My doctor thinks it’s nothing but it’s very bothersome when it happens!

Hi my name is Peter. I live around South Miami here in Florida in the East Kendall Area to be more exact. I was first diagnosed with an irregular heart beat back in December of 2008. I had paroxysmal atrial fibrillation for over 10 years. Any way, I now have long-standing persistent atrial fibrillation (my arrhythmia is basically 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week) since at least January of 2021, but possibly longer. I didn't get a cardiac ablation because I was both unsure about and leary of this procedure. I have had 2 cardioversions in 2021 to try and get my atrial fibrillation back into normal sinus rhythm. The first cardioversion which I had while taking Dofetilide (Tykosin) got me back into normal sinus rhythm for about 2 to 3 days. The second cardioversion which I had after taking Amiodarone for 24 days also only got me back into normal sinus for about 3 to 4 days. In April of 2022, they did an echocardiogram & the report informed me that my left atrium, which was moderately enlarged, had become borderline moderate to severely enlarged and that my right atrium which wasn't enlarged had become moderately enlarged. They also said that all of my heart valves were showing minimal regurgitation (back flow of blood) in all of my heart valves. I went back on Amiodarone last month on April 8, 2023, and am planning to have my third cardioversion at the end of this month. I started getting acupuncture three times a week back on March 8 at this place here in Miami called Miami Center for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. It's 30 minute to 45 minute drive from where I live. I have been receiving my acupuncture from this licensed acupuncturist Mingzhen Song. Her bio says she has has abundant TCM background & experience in the value of traditional & complementary medicine together. I still have an irregular heart beat. BTW, I also fractured my ankle (fibula bone) and avulsion fraction of the medial part of my ankle like two and a half years ago. This orthopedic surgeon recommended surgery, but unfortuntely, I took the advice of this other doctor who suggested that I just go in a cast instead. I have had chronic discomfort in my ankle ever since. The discomfort seems to move around from medial to lateral to back and to front of ankle. Jogging and running seemed to make the discomfort and pain worse, so I do not walk, jump or do any high impact activities any more. Also, 2 to 3 toes seemed to get damaged too when I fractured my ankle. They also don't feel right. I've been to an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. William Ricci, at the Hospital for Special Surgery up in NYC, and a podiatrist, Dr. Nicholas Bevilacqua, of the North Jersey Orthopaedic Specialists in Teaneck, NJ. Dr. Ricci's assistant, Jack, recommended that I seek nonsurgical treatment down in Miami, and Dr. Bevilacqua told me that arthroscopic surgery might be an option that I could consider trying. I'm worried that I have a malunion, but neither Dr. Rici or Dr. Bevilacqua confirmed my suspicion about a mal union other than to say that the fractured fibula bone can shorten or it can rotate. I'm wondering if my fractured fibula bone either shortened or rotated or both and if this is what is causing my ankle to have chronic discomfort. I'm a bit unsure about getting arthroscopic surgery if this is not really what I need to fix my ankle which I'm not sure that it is. As for the discomfort in my toes, I did read in the doctors' notes the term hammer toes. The acupuncturist whom I've been seeing at the Miami Center for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine has been treating my ankle along with my heart, but I am still experiencing substantial discomfort in my ankle and toes. Sometime my ankle feels somewhat better, but I still experience fairly intense discomfort a substantial amount of the time. I experience discomfort more when I am wearing footwear than when I'm barefooted. I'm wondering if you can recommend an acupuncturist or acupuncturists here in Miami who or whom can treat my long-standing persistent atrial fibrillation and the chronic discomfort in my ankle and toes. Also, am hoping that you may have some other possible recommendation(s) as I am losing hope that I will be able to fix either of these problems which have really decreased the quality of my life as I once knew it. Thank you for taking the time to read my post, which I know is rather lengthy, and also for any possible suggestions/recommendations which hopefully you may have for me.

HRV is not that, thats HR. HRV is the variation of the HR as response to the changes of the outer and inner conditions.

Ugh! Dealing with horrible PVC's, etc. I'm on a beta blocker, but really could use some assistance with relief and the stress this brings. Sadly, I get a bit of anxiety associated with them.

What about inappropriate sinus tachycardia in a 20 year old with no physiological known reasons. Its not anxiety either because a they restarted his heart and it immediately went back to 150bpm
@dhiahassen9414
@dhiahassen9414 Жыл бұрын
Fixed 150 is atrial flutter , a close circuit in the atrium , that kind of thing requires ablation to cut the circuit. Or you can try to shrink the size of the atrium with agressive blood pressure control for 4 years , second option only if the atrium is slightly bigger than normal, perform echo to know

I was having PACs for months. My holter results showed 400 in 24 hours. I didn’t want to take a beta blocker, because I didn’t like how they made me feel. Finally I started seeing an acupuncturist and my symptoms have almost completed resided. Definitely recommend it.
