Acura MDX Blowing Hot In The Front And A/C Cold In The Rear (FIXED) Part 1

This worked like a champ - thank you for sharing. Make sure when you put the new actuator on, along with connecting the wire, you also align the white peg (on the other side of the actuator white triangle piece) with the channel on the"white piece" that controls another car flow door. Also, I started by plugging in the actuator before installing, setting the car to cold such that the actuator moved to the cold position, to align car temp setting and actuator position before install. Now, not sure I needed to do this but it seemed prudent.

Wow! Thanks brotha! I finally found the actuator on my 02 had trouble for bout 3 months now...nothing online where to find for an 01 02 mdx...but thank god I found your video! Thanks for the tip! It's going to cost me 234 from autozone..I'm going to try ebay...did alot to fixing for my a.c didn't work...I flushed a.c free on.. air filter was crap I changed it...changed the cabin air filter it was crap too full of junk and vacuumed the vents...n did the fuse relay and it was all working fine...still not blowing cold air...so online said the actuator goes out on these types cars...but they never posted pics or vids on where the actuator located!....but thanks to you I know now!

My wife’s car has got a similar issue, front vents blow cold ac but won’t blow heat and the rear climate control works normally. Going to see if it’s this front blend door actuator/motor because I don’t trust mechanics lol.

The 2007 is a different generation. That's what I have, and it's blowing hot in the back and cold in the front. I wonder if it is the same part.

What year is your car ? It might be different. Also you talking about the arm in the actuator or the one attached to the airbox

I checked the part and it is not moving but I was unable to unhook it. I was able to move the lever when I took off the screws but no cold air either direction. Any other ideas?

I think you need a good scanner like snap on or autel max to pull the bcm codes for that situation

Yup it just independ on where it stuck on cold or heat so its the same problem

@@hanitwfik I removed that part and manually changed it and no change, still lukewarm coming out of front vents. I also took it apart like you did and changed climate control and the motor or gears moved. I checked heater core hoses while running and upper hose is way hotter than the lower hose. Think I have a bad actuator and a bad/clogged heater core? What's your thoughts please and thank you for any advice!

I was able to see when I turn up to heat the arm moves up but when i turn down to cold air the arm gets half way, but when i manually move the arm down it doesnt get cold still
