I like that you chose an LED light. Those halogen ones radiate a lot of heat and they will make you sweat more than you might like. Not only that but halogens are more dangerous since they will burn you if you touch the lamp housing or they could start a fire if anything combustible is too close. LED can still produce some heat but probably not even nearly so much. One other nice thing about LED is a better quality of light. Even a cheap LED light strapped to your head is good for a lot of things like this and you can get those anywhere. I would just avoid any of them that don't use AA or AAA batteries, you want to avoid expensive little things that don't last!

I used to have a halogen lamp before and changing to LED was a great choice.

One wise man said it is best to undo the fill plug first so that if you drain it you know you can fill it again. You can imagine what that is like when you can't fill it again! Never happened to me but it would put someone in a bind!
