Cool hack with the allen wrench check, just make sure you use the longer ones, you damn sure don’t want to drop one of the shorter ones in by accident. And also, careful with that brake cleaner around any rubber gaskets or seals, it’ll eat em up!

great video. I've used napa 75w90 on everything they had a sell.

2014-2021 Tundras use a different transfer case oil because they have a different Borg Warner Transfer case. They use a 75 weight gear oil called "Transfer Case Oil LF 75W" It is stupid expensive. Ravenol also make a 75w oil for half the price and Redline makes one called MT-LV. That said, most people and dealers then to just use 75w90 in all the diffs and transfer cases.

I tried to buy the "special" 75w transfer case oil locally, both Toyota and Lexus deals said they never use it, only 75w/90

Redline makes a 75W compatible too

That’s a nice looking Tundra! I like your user of an Allen key as a short dipstick. With my ‘12 Chrysler 200 Touring convertible the only similar service I could do it the transaxle transmission fluid and filter change. Good video.

Does it matter if the truck is on a slight incline? or does it need to be level?
@BLUECOLLARGARAGE6 күн бұрын
It needs to be level that way you can get an accurate reading.

You can just run 75w-90 now as they all have the limited slip diff additive
@EngineerK11 күн бұрын
So same oil in all 3 cases?
@supergrendel11 күн бұрын
@@EngineerK Yeah the Valvoline full synthetic stuff I got has the limited slip additive in it and almost all dealerships now are just using 75w-90 with the additive
