I will be replacing the rear brake pads alone soon on my tl 01. The original rotor will stay, will that be ok? Also im using Hawk performance ceramic pads. Is it ok to use ceramic on OEM rear rotors? Or do i meed a different material?

Watch that brake line. saying if it falls is no big deal. Not good to stress the brake lines. I'm sure you know that though

How important is it to get the boot back inside the pad mount if it comes out when greasing guide pins, I cannot for the life of me get them back inside

I've seen a lot of brake pad replacement videos for both front and back and discovered the fronts are Brembo brakes for 6SP manual. Are the rear brakes the same for both transmissions or different for manual? Great video btw

if those 12 mil bolts are stuck or rounded off all you have to do is loosen the 17 mil nuts behind them by the rubber seal

Can you not just remove the entire caliper bracket first and hang the set? Trying tomorrow, will follow up.

Hey so I did the same process and for some reason it smells like the pads are constantly touching not by much but getting a little burnt smell... any suggestions?

@RydellNez depends on how aggressively you stop. Speed up to 60mph go to a complete stop repeat two more times. Could take up to 50miles.
