Admire Dr. Langevin and her work greatly ! Finally a brilliant mind is willing to open to greater and integrative spectrum , diligently trying to understand chronic pain ( as well as other chronic conditions) better, and she is heading to the right direction , so maybe someday in the near future , we would be able to find the solution to reverse and heal it chronic pain with only pharmaceutical options ! Cheer her on, there still are a lot need to be learned and done!

This video really helps you learn about the research behind the needle. Acupuncture s a very interesting activity to learn about. This video was very imformative and I hope it helps people learn about the history of acupuncture!

The manipulation of acupuncture needles causes the connective tissues to tangle and that increases the resistance of any further needle manipulation. That's it. End of discussion. There is nothing further to conclude from Langevin's research on anything remotely acupuncture. Langevin herself has warned against any further conclusions about how connective tissue might be underlying mechanism of acupuncture on multiple occasions, on print as well as on audio interviews. Also, since connective tissues are everywhere in our body, you are bound to get some of these point on connective tissue rich areas and some not with those 360+ official acupuncture points. There might be a correlation between the amount of connective tissues and the certain point locations. But that should not be construed as any suggestion on a potential causal relationship. It's amazing how little Osher produces, with all the resource and funding.
