I actually LOVED the film. It's a father son story with a Sci-fi setting, maybe I'm biased because of that relationship but I feel it worked really really well, specifically because of Pitt and the world building. Not for everyone but people would give it a chance and decide afterwards.

the father son relationship is not expanded enough. theres no depth. we know nothing of their relationship. they only on screen together for 10 minute lol there was no depth to there relationship . same with relationship with Liv talor.

The movie's message is beautiful. I felt so peaceful in the end. It gave me hope. I identify with Roy so much. And the way he changed at the end, it made me so happy.

It was easy for Brad Pitt to play that Character because he played it before in Meet Joe Black.

It's Space Odyssey 2001 vibe with sprinkle of Solaris, Interstellar, and Event Horizon.

Han Solo was definitely sad in his last appearance. Sad for his lost marriage and wayward son. I also kinda agree with your son, Christy. All (Earth centric) space movies are the essentially the same

I did not like this movie because the plot was ridiculous, but it had some cool scenes and Brad Pitt’s character was really interesting. I’d like to see somebody else take McBride and create a real adventure story. Also I wonder if this was supposed to be a sequel to Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

The Martian was much more interesting. Win for Matt Damon.

Martian was better moive but it wasnt interesting at all it was a shallow simple family friendly magyver in space. this film missed the mark but it was had far interesting world, plot and questions.

OMG the voice over was awful! It just told you exactly how every character was feeling. And it's just Apocalypse Now in space. It would have been so much better with the voice over removed and the whole film was just a mood piece. Otherwise it was so boring leaving nothing for the audience to imagine.

Okay... this sucked!!!! Yeah like he could jump on a rocket and enter it on takeoff... it wasn’t believable at all.... and all I could see was Brad’s fake dyed brown hair... which made him look so much older...I really don’t pay attention to all this blah blah about how beautiful it was. It was long ... slow... and predictable. Ugg!!!

Gravity is a great movie ! sure it has some things wrong like every movie but it is adventure ! Ad Astra is crap ! It is like the sequel to the Gillette ad but in space !

Shockingly shallow review, barely college-level in content and analysis, and that from two well-known, professional critics. A disappointing Breakfast.

From the director of Lost City of Z!!! I hated that movie! That was a movie about the humiliation of failure and was ultimately pointless. Not going to see this one.

This one's quite different, but it is a slow burn, much like 2001. I'd say is worth watching for both Pitt and the visuals. Again, nothing like his past films.

This one’s thesis is that space travel is dumb and pointless and astronauts waste their lives haha
