I have a question it I stick a 2 oz lead onto this , will the foam sink to the bottom of the bed or is it like a pop up ? Like the carp would see it better as it’s risen off the bed a little bit ? As well if I have a decent hook line say about 1 foot will it show further up in the water?

Would you suggest ground baiting, or leave as a single hook bait and would you suggest flavouring the foam?

It's like a match the hatch type of thing, if you use black you normally use it by itself if you're using yellow then use a cloudy spod mix with corn in there if you use red then incorporate a bait that's red like maggots or red sweetcorn. You use black by its self is because or the larve hatching in the water so this imitates a natural food source

I dont use a xl anti tangle boom I fish it directly from the swivel but use a swivel with the large ring and tie it onto the ring with an inch long loop for maximum movement to ensure on the decent it sits directly above the lead booms and sleeves tend to push it off in an awkward manner also this year I've had loads on a chod set up using a zig 2 foot hook length absolutely deadly over weed beds

Zig Aligner is a pointless product designed to catch anglers. The proof lies in the fact that thousands of zig rigs caught thouasands of carp before it was even invented. It's just money maker and you know it.
