All of their albums have something new to offer, it wouldn't do justice to any of them to say that any are better. Their first album is very symphonic and has one of my favorite chorus's of all time (Inner Road). Underworld is a progressive masterpiece and has Mirror Fucking Stage. Dominate was a nice intermediary album with good harmony and still progressive elements (such as Children of the Dead Lake) and now they've brought METAL in the picture with the new album.

Un avis perso.Franchement, pour les avoir vu en concert et pour avoir écouter la totalité de leurs albums Archangels in Black dépasse l'espérance que j'avais de trouver un grpe qui allie le sombre et la mélodie.Un grd Kévin codfert o clavier qui, perso, me fais réver (son solo de fear circus est mélodiquement manifique) et un Immense Stephan Forte dans ses oeuvres.Sans oublier les solides Hermanny et Lebailly. Enfin la nvlles voix est parfaite! gardez Palin svp. Yann de la Réunion.

oui ca me rappelle un peu ce solo aussi... Rien de mal a s'inspirer d'un guitariste aussi genial que Marty, et honnetement qui n'a t'il pas influence ces 15 dernieres annees ? Le clip est sympa sinon, moi qui suis plutot refractaire a ca, je suis agreablement surpris, surtout pendant le break instrumental avant le solo de guitare.

Fuck yeah, Adagio Back again bout time, i noticed there wasnt as much classical pieces in dominate than the first 2 albums so yeah im hoping there is more in Archangles in Black, cause i think Stephan is pretty much my Fav guitarist but i would say he can compose music far better, the classical pieces in Underworld blew me away i could just sit there listening to beautiful music it was awesome. Hoping the new one is awesome ill by it no matter what. Adagio Rule and rule progressive metal forever

There are more bands than before, yes, but Adagio have proved they can do a lot better than most of those bands. Anyway, if you compare this to "Underworld" you'll see that it wasn't a change about the music genre it was a change in the band's songwriting, towards a simpler, less creative music (and a lot more easy-listening). It's better than the previous album though.

Underworld is definitely their masterpiece. I liked Archangels in Black, but not my favorite album of theirs so far. I'd rank it just below Dominate, which it seems like they tried to replicate but didn't quite get it the second time around.

Look at the SymX, they're playing the same music over and over, and now I can't even listen thru their last album (PL), because a good half of the ideas have been heard on their previous albums. I rather have Adagio playing power than sticking up to the same old formula they used in Underworld.

Next to SymphonyX and DT? Both SymphonyX and Adagio are very far from DT in its peak years. USA spoils great bands very much. DT is good example, but only untill recently. European rock/metal scene has much more potential, but gets buriead under US chewing gum(there are some exeptions). I didn't like new Adagio album as much as i liked previous. This video is good though. Let's hope that next albums will be much better.
