Great video Nitro Bro Adam👍🏼! Thank you for the good pointers like using a flat table with a wall or back splash to it to make things easier when adjusting the Toe.

Best rc car video for setup and racing on KZbin!

Thank you!

That is the best 'toe' how to video on KZbin. I have spent an hour looking at diff vids to find a simple way of measuring toe without spending extra money on a proper gauge. Fantasic tip. Thank you very much for spending the time to share that with us.

Hey Adam how much rear toe do you usually run. Also, how often would you say you clean/maintenance your bearings?
@bigdaddyd82vapes928 жыл бұрын
Excellent point!! Overall the most important thing is how the car feels! I am new to racing. And at very first, I didn't even know what I wanted my buggy to act like on the track. But, I do now and your videos help me out even though I run 10th scale. Thank you Adam!!

Hey Adam, maybe some day you could share how to adjust rear toe. Also I have noticed that sometimes when setting toe it seems to effect the camber as well and when you try to re adjust your camber the toe is then effected again. Ever had that problem?
@adamdrake80068 жыл бұрын
Hello Jacob, adjusting toe and camber do go hand in hand. When increasing the amount of rear toe-in, it will also slightly increase the amount of camber if you don't adjust the length of the turnbuckle. I'll add this to my video list.

Adam do u have any tutorials explaining bump steer a little more, I am fairly new to driving and setting up 'pro kits' and bump steer isn't something I fully understand yet. Thank you
@AdamDrake6 жыл бұрын
I don't think I have anything talking about bump steer, but I'll add it to my video list. In general, bump-in will have more mid corner steering. Bump out will have smoother steering and be better in bumps.

Thanks very much Adam. Do kit setups generally come with neutral bump steer? I have just built my 1st pro chassis and i am trying to learn as much as I can, so sorry for so many questions and thanks for taking the time out to help. Much appreciated

It depends on the vehicle. The Mugen vehicle have a very unique bump steer, but it works well.

So when a setup sheet says for example 1° of toe and I measure my toe using a camber gauge (like you showed in the video), should I read 0,5° of toe on each tire (so it adds up to 1° in total) or should I set the toe, that it reads 1° of toe on one tire ?
@AdamDrake8 жыл бұрын
When I put 1 degree on a set-up sheet, I'm referring to 1 degree per side.

hey Adam have you tried drilling small hole in wore out set wheels so u won't have keep taking wheels off to set camber.
@AdamDrake7 жыл бұрын
That works well, but I usually just take off the tire.

Hello Adam so why do I measure 📏 the distance from the sides of where the spanner 🔧 goes to adjust so u said the space between the turnbuckle plastic but I’m going from the outer edges of the centre hex part if that makes sense so it seems just the space is ok please help me out or some1 reading and following me here🙃🙂
@AdamDrake4 жыл бұрын
I measure the exposed turnbuckle because it's very easy to get that measurement and also consistent.

Hello Adam, I see that your left upper pillow ball is unscrewed abit.. ?Is that ok to run it like that
@AdamDrake8 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's fine to run it unscrewed slightly, but the washers make it easy to adjust the camber.
@raulzarbalaiev64668 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Asking because I dont get the same camber on both sides with the same washers.. Did you experience this?
@adamdrake80068 жыл бұрын
It's usually pretty consistent from side to side, but sometimes they need slight adjustments.

Hey Adam, I'm still confused how you adjust the camber on PBS on the front and how to adjust toe on the rear (only one turn buckle for camber). I'm absolutely new to the hobby!
@adamdrake80067 жыл бұрын
The camber on the front is adjusted by the upper front arm length. The rear toe is adjusted using the different inserts (E2108) the go into the rear toe block (E2114).

Wow what a great “hack” for not spending hundreds of dollars on a setup station! I guess also something that can be done is once you set one side rather than using the gauges is to actually just make sure the buckles match on the other. I know for me sometimes it’s hard to set camber cause tires never seem to be super even all around so depending on what position your tire is in the reading might be diff but if the buckles are all the same length both sides should be the same
