hey Kurtis!! idk if you’ll see this, but i actually attended one of Coldplay’s concerts back in June and i just wanted to clarify that only people who have floor tickets get access to the bikes and “kinetic floors” and it’s a completely optional thing! they both are used to charge power for these batteries that are then used for different elements of the show and it was pretty cool knowing that just by dancing and jumping around i’m helping in a small way provide power for the next concert :) ik it can seem disingenuous when celebs promote things like sustainability considering the massive impact they have on the environment, but i think Coldplay has been very earnest and sincere in their efforts and it shows in the actions they’ve taken for their current world tour! like for example the band has pledged that for every ticket sold during their current world tour they will have one tree planted + a lot of the merch was made from recyclable/sustainable materials and they’ve created a “good cause fund” that’s taking 10% of all the band’s profits and putting it towards organizations/nonprofits like Global Citizen, The Ocean Cleanup, the Sustainable Food Trust, and SO many more! if you’re interested in learning more about the efforts they’ve made you can check out their sustainability page on their official website ✨💖
