I thought that same thing but then the far-off camera angle showed, and you can see just how deep and positive it is. The top camera angle makes it look almost nonexistent

I wish BD hadn't felt the need to spray about their new cams at 1:47 though. That's just tacky. The text at 1:31 and 2:09 was superfluous too. Other than that this would be a really awesome video, a 16 minute glimpse into Adam's genius. Oh well

If you can practice it in a gym, give it a shot. Out in the wild, even bouldering, it can be incredibly hard and intimidating; it’s a different beast entirely. If you have a lot of other climbing experience (judging by your profile, it seems like you do) the transition should be easier.

The best climber is the one who tries to improve the most, total respect to mr Ondra. Nb. The muscles of the lower forearm attach to the palm side of the fingertips and keep you attached with crimping whereas the muscles of the upper forearm (closer to the elbow attach nearer the palm side of the knuckles and are used to clench a fist hence Adam's observation regarding the difference with crack climbing.
