Adam Savage’s Tested

Күн бұрын

Adam's latest obsession is the VR music rhythm game Beat Saber, which he plays almost every day. To augment his immersion and play ability, Adam machines a pair of Beat Saber hilt mounts for the Oculus Quest controllers! And of course, making lightsaber hilts is something Adam has some experience with!

man, I love beat saber, but it just has one big problem it which many other rhythm games run into: 90% of the custom content its community creates consists of anime OSTs, VGM OSTs, kpop, jpop, meme songs, and shitty nightcore. the songs that you actually want to play are, if they actually were mapped/charted/whatever by someone, were made by someone far less experienced in creating the maps/charts/whatever than someone making weeby obscure anime OST / nightcore maps/charts/whatever.

@@OculusQuestFun the green screen itself only needs to wrap around enough to encompass his movements. The rest can me masked out in post. Cooler, sure, but I wouldn't say better. Adam's look to be a lot heavier than the original and with a fast-paced game like Beat Saber, using controllers this heavy will result in repetitive strain injury. They're an awesome novelty, but can't be used regularly.

He's only playing on expert and with no fail. Without the added weight, he could probably lose the no fail, but I doubt he could do expert+. Which is perfectly fine, but he's not “freaking good.”

@@Steam-Player Nah, I can just about pass Expert+ without weights. Maybe I could do something super easy like Be There For You, but I'd have to figure out how to attach weights and I don't have a recording setup anyway. I'm just saying the bar for “freaking good” is a tad higher. Taichi, for example, is “freaking good.”
