During the time I was contracting to the DOA (Dept of the Army), I researched and constructed rudimentary improvised explosive devices and other related items for training purposes. My wife would mention on occasion as I work working on something in the backyard, that one day one of the daily overflights of Blackhawks that were typical where we lived, was going to land in the field and she would never see me again. I never had any calls or "visits" by any of the suits during the decade plus I was on the computer and/or ordering stuff online. She asked once that if there were actually explosives in my creations would they explode as intended instead of the irritating peizo going off? Yes they would. She just looked at me and shook her head. I am retired now and I no longer build those types of training aids.

But even beyond that, you have provided endless hours of not only satisfaction, realization, and discovery with Mythbusters, but also awoken a personal sense of wonder and curiosity within me that I only ever feel when watching your One Day Builds on the Tested channel. Your constant enthusiasm and seemingly infinite knowledge of what you see in your mind, then build to fruition, will remain constant envy to me. You can tell they took that extra step to make sure the audio sounds good. Outside of the metal housing it sounded crappy, but the acoustics inside the metal made it sound perfect.

Watching Adam use things that I find so interesting like the Giaco Whatever Maker Knife if so satisfying.

Well, I'm an idiot. I thought the chirping was the LED lamp shaking on the table until the end of the video.

A suggestion for something I have, and you now seem to need Adam - special prescription close-up specs. I first got them for working with the ever-smaller jumpers in computer parts, particularly disk drives. Mine are bifocal reading glasses with about 3 dioptres added to the optics of the lower section. I keep trying to get the spectacle makers to make them with a bit more as my eyesight is marginal when working on fine details. They also protect your eyes when soldering!

@Jared Lewis Adam lives in the US, produced this video in the US, uploaded it in the US, and interacted with this company in the US. The FTC guidelines completely unambiguously apply here.
