2:32 AWESOME background trivia on _Riven_ ! I loved that game!! Edit: So I found out that Cyan, by the time they got Adam's dagger prop, figured out they could do the whole thing in CG and so did not use the prop. They still thought it was cool as hell and hung it up on the wall. It was only after _MythBusters_ started airing that they found out it was Adam's work, because he mentioned it in an interview. As shown, it now has a place of honor today in Cyan's lobby.

You should check out James May's reassemble channel (not sure on the name) but this show reminds me of it. Both very relaxing and interesting to watch. James May goes through those calming quiet moments too, where it's just the camera on him looking, thinking, planning and figuring out how things go back together.

this is not how I would go about building a sword of this type but still great looking. What a wonderful claymore! (A claymore is a type of Scottish two-handed double-edged broadsword that is fully twice as large as the English swords of the same period. It sacrifices defense for the ability to land crushing blows with the blunt, flat sides of the blade as a way to incapacitate enemy knights without killing them. Not to be confused with the claymore mine, which is named after the sword.)

Aluminium tape: just yesterday needed to cast a fix from epoxy, i needed to fill in couple of broken screw holes. Aluminium tape made a nice ad hoc mold so i could cast the epoxy in place and get the shape i needed.. I use that stuff almost daily, it is wonderful material. If it is hot, needs to have conductivity, needs to hold some shape and not stretch: it is your friend. Specially the no stretching part, it is the only tape i have that stays in shape.

Adam, this being posted after the fact I don't know if you will read this; but your preference for hollow ground blades runs counter to good blade making. it is easier to sharpen HG on a wheel; but a hollow ground blade creates a lot more drag as it slices through flesh. check the cross section on a master made Samurai sword. more apt to get a ding on a hollow grind too.

I like the time-lapse at the end. What I sometime do is having a slightly longer shutter speed. It gives a little motion blur, which looks nice
