Colin would like Manga. Its usually 1 Writer who is also doing the Art. Or 1 Writer and 1 Artist. Its usually 1 story and when it ends, It ends. The biggest problem would be how long it takes for a Series to end. Claymore was going for 13 years, Berserk has been going for 20+ and is slowly still going. Fullmetal Alchemist ran for 9 years.

Original Zelda didn't have a battery in Japan, it was a Famicom Disk that had read/write capabilities. That's the reason Nintendo implemented the battery backup. The carts lost all memory when the power was turned off and we didn't get the floppy drive stateside. Finally you didn't really have to hold the reset button. I never did and I never lost a save, maybe I was just lucky, but that's how it went.

19:00 I left AA batteries in my Gameboy Color for damn near a decade with Silver inside. I had the foresight to not move my R/B/Y pokemon over to Silver because it's not compatible with Pokemon Stadium 1. Silver had no save file and new saves don't work while R/B/Y are just fine because the old batteries didn't fuck the carts. Now I do everything emulated I can, praise Gaben! Edit: If I didn't make it clear, leaving AA batteries in a gameboy for long periods of time with carts inserted that use native saves leads to breaking the save system of the carts. Fucking Nintendo never got the word out on that one.

Colin, I think comic stories are more similar to classical mythology than anything like a novel or a video game. Rehashing the same fundamental characters and plots has been a time-honored tradition for as long as humans have told stories, and comics are just a modern representation of that. I'm barely read comics, and I'm with you and Greg in thinking that they should completely drop the notion of continuity, but that's how I frame my thinking when it comes to the medium.

RelaxingD I don't know how that guy has an editor's job at a gaming website. Not only does he not know how to play games he's condescending towards his audience. If this was anywhere else but IGN he would be fired. It would be one thing if they were legitimate complaints about the game but he was ragging on the game for stuff that weren't real problems.
@RelaxingD9 жыл бұрын
especially when you bash the game for hours and hours on twitter befor u post that article ..and then try to defend it ..just sad..guys like him are the real problem in gaming today
@fausty6169 жыл бұрын
What was the issue you had with his Bloodborne article?
@Jaqen-HGhar9 жыл бұрын
mrfausty1 well it was the combination of the article and his twitter tirades beforehand. They aren't backed up by what the game is actually is about. ""Bloodborne's old-school challenge!" No it isn't. Even Mega Man has save checkpoints before boss fights. This is just intentionally shitty." - From his Twitter, there is literally a checkpoint before the boss battle that takes you 30 seconds of running to get back to the fight. It's not just his unprofessional-ism on Twitter but that as editor of reviewers for the site he put out a pierce (basically a hit piece) that wasn't stated as an opinion piece before the review was out that basically undermined the review that Brandin was about to put out. It's super unprofessional and it's never been done before.

Adam Sessler feels out of place from this shot.Not just because he's the bald one out of the group but because he's the only veteran expert when it comes to video games. His English Major background enables him to describe video games that he reviews in a poetic thing that's beautiful and allows us to appreciate and enjoy each piece of art that we call games. Adam please reconsider reviewing video games, at least just put a blog or a podcast again for a couple of AAA titles.
@RabiaViolenta9 жыл бұрын
My ideal comic world would be for Marvel and DC, as was briefly mentioned in your discussion, to allow writers to do one-shots. Allow the writers to establish their own, pre-set worlds (like The Dark Knight Returns, where Jason Todd was seemingly killed off in that world, whereas he was still alive in the main continuity) to play in. Don't force continuity upon the writers. Then, you can have the stories like Colin mentioned which have a definitive end, like one that ends with Batman dying. And another writer could come along later, establish their own world for a new story, and Batman is alive again! Scott Snyder is trying something similar with the main Batman releases, where he has his storyline for the Joker, then plans to give the character a break for the rest of his run.

Colin, as a fiscal libertarian you shouldn't be surprised the US lacks desalination plants. Without government subsidies or just plain government-run plants desalination is too prohibitively expensive for companies to elect to practice. It's a ridiculous situation when you think about it, given that the US is at capacity for its water, with aquifers emptying more and more each day. California especially will need to pay some more taxes to fund their fluids (maybe people will even learn a lesson about settling in a highly populated arid region, though it's not likely).

On the topic of acceptance that different age people are playing the same games and reading the comic books etc: I always like to point out who makes all the stuff. Someone, most likely an adult that gets payed to do it as their job, made that episode of ______. You don't have to give up goofy, imaginative, and fun stuff when you see it in this way. Colin, watch the animated DC movie The Dark Knight Returns, if you want to know how Batman Vs Superman will make sense. Or I could just summarize...bruce wayne is a brilliant strategist, and in the animated universe(i don't read the comics) he has created fail safes for every justice league member. I doubt Batman Vs Superman will follow the frank miller story exactly, and the biggest loss will be robin, but elements will certainly be there.

The only thing I've every really enjoyed from superhero media is programs like Teen Titans, Young Justice, Arrow/Flash, and some of the Marvel movies. As far as comics it's more perception than reality that comics aren't selling. Since the MCU and The Walking Dead TV comic sales have gone to the stratosphere. Marvel, Image, Dark Horse are experiencing a renaissance in sales numbers greater than the Heydays of the 90's. The DCU on the other hand is probably doing worse because it's built around two characters that could arguably be considered anachronisms. Superman is an outsider that comes to virtually every type of negotiation holding all the cards. Batman similarly always has all of the answers and they generally come together more out of convenience or timing more than out of necessity, which makes them somewhat shallow characters that have had their stories told over and over and over and over again. casting Ben Affleck didn't help. If The DCU does ever bounce back it's going to have to be on the shoulders of other characters. I suspect after the presumed Justice League movie will be Black Adam, Shazam and Aquaman...IF DC/Warner Bros. is smart.
