Slapstick sells, apparently.
Comedian Adam Waheed first went viral in 2016 with a comedy sketch about his girlfriend doing her makeup in the car. In his popular TikTok and KZbin videos, Waheed performs slapstick stunts like working out in the gym atop a toilet, eating a “train salad” (nails and bolts atop a bed of arugula and tomatoes) and staging his death after stubbing his toe. Now, he’s moved into the big screen, signing a three-picture content deal with Jimmy Kimmel’s production studio, Wheelhouse. Through this and his partnerships with the NFL, Old Spice, Dr Pepper, Doritos, Samsung and T-Mobile, Waheed’s businesses made over $7 million last year, per Forbes’ estimate.
