A few years ago I bought some half dead reduced strawberry plants from the sad looking rack outside my local Co op for 10p each. Best 50p I've ever spent. I got them healthy and producing. Each winter I cover them with straw to protect them from the cold. This past week I've taken the straw off to get them going. Looking forward to warm summer mornings picking & eating them. That's if one of my Whippet's doesn't pinch them before!

That’s awesome my friend. They are pretty hardy and bounce back. My mum had some and never replaced them. They got attacked by snails, bad winters etc but every year it seemed they gave fruit. Good luck and god bless you 😊

Hello there, hope you’re all good. One word of advice. When you cut the Young coconut or Buko against the floor, it’s better to put something to protect your tile/floor, like a piece of wood or chopping board.

Discovered your channel yesterday and binge watched your old vlogs. Decided to subscribe as I really enjoy your vlogs. I watched one of your vlogs last night where you’ve mentioned Jane’s health issues. I asked my friend about it as she had similar issues as Jane’s. She said her condition is called Postprandial Hypotension. Not sure if Jane’s been diagnosed with that but I thought I’d let you know. My friend’s not taking any medicines for it but she changed her eating habits.

That’s true. Coconut oil and livestock feed. Coconut milk and yoghurts are what we wish were more produced here especially for those who are lactose intolerant 😊

Adam it was funny when you selected and prepared the coconut to extract the Buko juice and the Buko flesh. If I had been served the coconut in a restaurant I would have returned it back to the kitchen as the coconut was definitely not a young coconut, hahaha!!!

I know it’s so sad most of our pilipino dishes causes inflammation for the body we eat so much rice do processed foods, too much fat too much sweets , all full of sugars etc. eventually your body will take its toll ..

The food is healthy here but sometimes too much sugar or salt added. The raw ingredients are perfect. We do find a lot of processed food but the UK is the same. It’s always nice to make your own and control what goes into it. Have a good weekend 😊
