Best thing about living in Ipoh is because of its old school modern vibes, plus point is that it is geographically blessed between two towns, just less than 100km radius where you can enjoy the sunny beach in Pulau Pangkor (duty free island) and Cameron Highlands cozy temperature (when it is super hot in Ipoh)

One has to be more understanding as to why they put vending machines in the temple. Firstly, it doesn't charge an entrance fee like in other countries. Therefore, it has to compromise for the shortcoming of fund by putting up these vending machines. Hopefully, most visitors put in a bit of donation in the donation boxes.

The story behind Concubine Lane is that there was once a wealthy businessman. He bought and gave each of his wives (wife & 2 concubines) a lane. There are another 2 lanes. This Concubine Lane was a present to his 2nd wife.

Ipoh looks like the kind of place that's really, really difficult to make an interesting video. But you did it. You made it fun, even though I get the feeling that it wouldn't rate very highly in your top ten. But it's crossed off your list, the girls have cute new shoes, Adam is no longer scared of stinky tofu, and we now know that Yaz is not going to be taking the job at Countdown, showing the contestants how to work out the complicated numbers Round anytime soon. It's all good.

Hello, Great video guys ! After I watched your video I understand the best area to stay in Ipoh is Downtown since it is near convenience stores, street food markets, attractions and public transportation. Is that correct ? If not, which area do you suggest, so I can find the above needs ? Thank you so much. Keep the great job. Take care guys.

I was raised 5 minutes driving distance from the cave you visited. Used to be my dating spot back in high school 🤭. Talk about cave though, there is one cave called Gua Tempurung which is not far away from Ipoh and it is like a thousand times bigger than the Kek Long Tong cave and it is so beautiful. I always wonder why the state government never pushes to promote the Tempurung Cave enough. It's a shame. Anyway, I feel like Ipoh is nice if you want to raise a family or you want to retire there but I find Ipoh rather boring to be honest 🤭🤭🤭. I do give props to Ipoh though because last time I went back to Ipoh there seems to be a lot of development going on. Ipoh has been a sleepy city since the 80s with hardly any big development projects. Ever since the pandemic it seems like Ipoh is on a roll.

At 4:13 , it was a wrong way to hold a Chinese tea cup. Usually traditional Chinese culture, it is common to drink hot tea, and there are specific ways to hold a hot Chinese tea cup to avoid burning your hands. Here are some tips: Hold the cup with your fingers and thumb. Use your thumb and fingers to grip the sides of the cup, leaving your palm free. Hold the cup by the base. Alternatively, you can hold the cup by its base, using your fingers to wrap around the bottom of the cup, and your thumb to support the base.

They shouldnt have torn down the octagon building, it was an old multistorey mall with architecture chinese influence. If they had restored it and change it into a cultural bazaar of sorts it would have been much more better. There used to be crosses on those anglo christian schools they took those out as well.😢 The government will always try to erase its foreign cultural heritage given any opportunity to do so.😢

it's very unfortunate to see many dumb people throw garbage everywhere in the streets. if they can't find a garbage bin, at least they should have the courtesy to bring the garbage with them until they can find a garbage bin. There are tons of rubbish along the streets and in the river. Many expect sweepers to clean their garbage every minute of the day. Not many people want to be sweepers nowadays. Who wanted to be treated like garbage by the same people who throw garbage everywhere.

It’s a dead town with a dead economy and many scammers. Had my credit card details copied at a restaurant here and had fraudulent transactions posted. Lots of empty shoplots not rented out and many seedy massage parlours elsewhere. Food prices are expensive too
