I remember the corded remote for the vcr as well. Tripped over that damn thing all the time. Also, remember having to quick turn the dial and land in between channels to get channel 36. Damn I miss those days where we all watched the same thing in the same room. Westerns, war movies, Barney Miller, MASH, Dukes of Hazard, Columbo! Oh, and Saturday nights were Creature Features.

I've told friends about the clicker of my childhood, which was this same Zenith clicker, and they don't understand, just as Sam and Mayhem didn't at first. It's good to see the image of it again. Fun fact, if you drop a set of keys on the coffee table and it makes a noise that's the same frequency as the clicker, the TV will react (turn on, change channel, ...)

I flew from Minneapolis to Vegas Friday. Went to the departure gate. Pilots, crew and passengers were there. NO PLANE. First a short delay. Then, a 5 hour delay. They couldn’t start the frozen plane and no backup. I had to book a flight with Southwest and paid $300 to get to Vegas on time. Canceled the other flight, just a refund and no other compensation for Sun Country’s dead plane…………

I had that remote as kid. It clicked. It activated a solenoid that turned the knob up or down. But you had to still fine tune the UHF channels. Volume was on or off. Kids fine tuned the level manually. My dad thought he was a king with a remote.

😅 I was busting up with the airlines charging different rates depending on your weight. They definitely should have some type of mini sauna booth next to the terminal gate so you can sweat out as much as you can, shadow box, push-ups, etc and then step onto a UFC style scale next to the gate, have the operator get on intercom : "170 for the welterweight passenger John Smith ! No extra fees!" And then proceed to my seat inside ✌️😁✈️

i live near laguardia airport nyc...one passed near my apt window. it was car sized, completely silent, no propellers or jets on it, rectangular body but with curved sides that ended sharply, grey color frame, flashing lights. closest thing in media that it looked like was the blade runner movie cars. oh and these things fly 6 hours straight from 6pm till 12am circling the airport. no drone or plane or helicopter that size can fly non stop for 6 hours straight without refueling or recharging. these things arent man made drones.
