KISS was my first concert at the St Louis Checkerdome. I went with my mother who was petite and pretty and quite youthful in appearance. Some biker types kept passing her joints. My Mom's response: "These boys keep giving me tobacco." Eventually they passed her a little red bong. I grabbed it and went down to them and told them she was my mother. To their credit they apologized profusely about 10 times throughout the show. And we all kept looking at each other and giggling about it. They were cool guys. The show was magnificent. And I spent a lot of time thinking, "Is this really KISS?" I just could not believe I was in the same building with the band. This was around the Love Gun era and I was about 14. I'll never forget it.

Gene came from nothing and hugely appreciated everything that America had to offer, especially the opportunity to make something of himself - which of course he did, in spades! Nothing was given to him or his band. Lots of talent, hard work, ingenuity, and perseverance, resulted in kiss, climbing the ladder and making it to the top. People threw tomatoes and many other things at kiss when they first started, but that just made them work harder to read better songs and become better musicians, as well as put on a better show. Over the years they spent millions on their shows in order to add a whole new level of excitement to their concerts that no other band had done. Few if any of you out there could do anything even close to what gene was able to accomplish in his lifetime. So he deserves our respect and not the hate and stupid from the many young tweedle dumbs out there who obviously know nothing about him and what he went through to get ready at today. Rock on forever, Gene!!

Seated in a chair was a very black man in his 40s with short hair, and he was wearing an orange and black football jersey that had KISS ARMY on the front and back -- and which I automatically assumed he had acquired as a donated clothing item. Yes, because the man was very black and with short hair, I immediately was sure that he did not know anything about rock or what the wording on the jersey meant and started to volunteer my explanation to him about it. The guy got pissed and spun around in his chair and snarled at me, "Man! Whachu know about Kiss? Man, I'm from DETROIT!!!" That was the end of that conversation! 😂

Yes, certain things we did we didn’t have to do regarding Covid. Adam never brings up what was happening in hospitals. My wife works as a traveling nurse, and in many places they were stacking bodies in refrigerated trucks. The main issue was about making sure the entire healthcare system did not collapse. Note: I did have two close friends who died, one was a marathoner, neither had any pre-existing conditions. One was 64 and the other was 35. Sure mostly old people or people with pre-existing conditions, or both, died. Some younger folks died and it wasn’t many, not important until it’s a member of your family. Note: The CDC’s China headcount had shrunk to around 14 staffers, down from approximately 47 people in 2017. A President Donald Trump decision! The cuts in staff included epidemiologists and other health professionals. Hello!

Adam, I’ve written to you in the past about the power of daily brisk walking, I guess you didn’t take me seriously. You’re obviously a Kiss fan, look at Gene Simmons. Does he look different than he did a few years ago? Does it seem like he’s somehow aged in reverse? Look at current images of the rest of the band sans makeup, do they somehow look old and young at the same time? Do they seem like they have energy? Or are they winding down like aging clocks? If you practice walking briskly everyday the mathematical benefits will payoff like compounding interest. You want to walk briskly, making sure to swing both of your arms while using your eyes for things both near and far. Open your eyes slightly wider while you’re walking and remember to always have fun. A best of AC/DC playlist will give you an idea of pace. An Apple Watch and closing your rings is cheaper than any trainer or gym. Underdress for the occasion or you’ll overheat, feel sick and quit. Remember to stay hydrated. That’s it, it really is that simple. And it’s sustainable for life. The benefits are that it’ll change your physicality, your countenance, your energy, your mind and then possibly your life. PS- Please, I beg of you, check with your Doctor before starting this process. I suspect in some people it can cause an event. Practicing the art of daily brisk walking is that powerful. PSS- The man to your left, who I’ve never seen, ask him how many miles a week he walks. Edit: I really want this doctor thing to hit home so I going to say this, Netanyahu had an event after I told him. Today, he looks sharper and fitter than I can recall.
