I've always been a bigger fan of the band than the individuals who make it up, though I generally do like much of what Gene has had to say, though he has also often been very adept at putting his foot in his mouth. Excellent discussion. Both men are so smart. Gene, your humility in renouncing your former self with respect to how you treated your wife before you were married, inspires humility and raises its noble value. And it shows respect for women. I love your acceptance of humanity in all our flaws and differences, political or otherwise. You are a true American, and an inspiration to all.

His giant ego and large list of female conquests aside, Gene Simmons is probably the most stable rock star out there. (Paul Stanley is probably up there too.) I love the fact that Gene's giant ego was able to keep Bill in check and have a normal conversation.

For a party band, KISS is such an influential band for the young men and teens who dreamed of being rock stars, even if the KISS sound and idea wasn't where they ended up. Much love and Gene's reality show was one of the watchable ones for me that really didn't need affected drama to keep me entertained, thanks for giving us a window into your world Mr. Simmons.

It's hard to believe that the KISS front man is so extremely wise. I was floored. I don't know anything about KISS other than what I've seen by accident over the years. Can't name a single song. But that guy is smart. I'd love to have a convo with 'em. Very interesting guy.

Front man? Gene was promoted after all these years????? LOL Also, Gene is quite smart and an astute businessman. Stories about him coming to America and not speaking english are a delight to hear. But, he does like to trash talk in front of the camera, as he forgets to take off his 'beast' make-up in his head, so the dumb ass statements he says take headlines over his plethora of astute interviews. The guy is well educated, well read, very intelligent. His song lyrics are still trashy sex, but nobody is perfect. LOL I actually always hated Kiss and him, until I started listened to his interviews and realized he wasn't at all what I thought. Now I'm a total 100% Kiss fan.
