Comment for DAkitty whips. I own a 5 ft budget hybrid and am getting a super cool performance whip that is a one off. Dakitty whips are excellent whips made by a very knowledgeable maker. She has teaching videos to replace the cracker and fall on her whips.

I'm going from Rope Dart to Whip now to keep my study of Flow arts and really appreciate these. Thanks for having some awesome ways to practice that don't cost an arm and leg. I can't wait to try and work on my accuracy.

I practice accuracy cutting leaves, going point to point, or the stem, dandelion flowers I cut them, pick them or obliterate them, and I love cracking wasp, I pick apples out of reach. Of course wrap sticks and grab or throw them. I go on whip walks and prune as I go, most of my whips are stained green. I make a hunters lash, or sort of stock whip, but I use ropes cuz I beat them up. About to pick it back up after a long time no cracking. I used my whips to signal and manage my sled dog team, no whipping dogs, the cracks will stop them barking fighting and they all look at you for directions.

What about a 10ft wooden handle bullwhip? Would that be easier to target with? Harder?
@Adam-Winrich4 жыл бұрын
Cade I put the candle out with a 12 foot bullwhip, so theoretically targeting with a 10 foot whip should be easier than that. Just start whipping a water bottle and see how it goes.

Hey Adam nice vids, just baught a 12 whip Australian I think? Now I need to learn how to use it, "whips 101"? Harder than I thought it would be, might hurt myself? After watching your vids thinking I should have started shorter?
@Adam-Winrich3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, a 12 ft whip is long for the variety of cracks taught nowadays. A 7 ft bullwhip would be better.

Thanks for the video Adam. Who made your 6 foot and 8 foot bullwhip? Who should I look up online that makes good shot loaded leather bullwhips that aren't crazy expensive?
@Adam-Winrich4 жыл бұрын
Mark Lipps The 6 ft whip is from DavidMorgan dot Com, the 8 foot bullwhip is from Bernardo Del Carpio. Any leather whip worth owning is probably crazy expensive, but look up The Whip Man, Peter Jack.

How do today's whip cracking performances differ from say about 40-50 years ago?
@Adam-Winrich4 жыл бұрын
I think the importance of two-handed whip cracking has increased and the importance of targeting routines has decreased because of it.

@@Adam-Winrich Then how would you compare the target whipping acts (i.e. in the circus) of today with 40-50 years ago? Even the styles differ when it comes from different countries or continents.
