I've only watched clips of this movie, but as you noted - Larson never looks like she's comfortable or hitting her marks with any confidence. She exudes zero personality (in this role at least) and just isn't cut out to be an action star.

The MCU is dead. DP3 was carried by Hugh Jackman because Ryan Reynolds is a one note joke that neVer knows when to end. Its not superhero fatigue; its crap writing: Thor 4, Agatha, Loki 2, Eternals, Bue Beetle, etc. I wont waste a dime on this crap series again, esp with the hail Mary of RDJ as Dr Doom or Capt Falcon preaching for 90 minutes. F the MCU and Disney!

This film I agree was not "awful", just really meh with a complete Mary Sue lead with zero personality, character or growth. The whole thing is just discover how much more awesome you can be! Just like with Rey in Star Wars. This film is more hated because 1. It is the first time Marvel betrayed the fans trust and lied to get people to see this, and they were very annoyed, and 2. It, with Rey from Star Wars, brought in the whole annoying STRONG FEMALE LEAD! thing that has pretty much wrecked every previously "boy" liked genres that they have finally (fingers crossed) seem to have realized IS just awful.

Because it was slotted between Infinity War and Endgame, and a bunch of morons guilt tripped people into thinking the only reason anyone could hate it is because they were a sexism. Although this movie did give us The Don, an iconic piece of EFAP lore. So that's good.

I remember when I saw this movie, I thought it was weird that they decided to make it a 90’s movie! Especially, since Captain Marvel is so f*caking powerful & Fury made NO mention that he had an Ace up his sleeve in case sh*t got real! Nada! Like wtf! Disney should have made it like Captain Marvel just appeared after the events of Avengers 3 or something so it would have (maybe) made more sense…..I don’t know🤷🏼‍♀️
