See, you have to sit down for this. It could not be "present day", because that would conflict with the other films. But they wanted to do a sequel, BUT Wonder Woman already said she did not interfere with humans before, so how can you make a sequel? Why, you set it in the 1980's (or whenever) BUT you have to make everyone in that story "forget" she helped them, because then what she said about not helping would, um, be true in those other movies. But she said she never interfered, not that anyone else knew her to interfere..so, um, that doesn't make any sense either, so um, got it?

The worst part about this movie is that they basically made Cheetah a throwaway villain. She was one of Diana's main rivals in the comics. Cheetah also originally had versions in the comics where she was just a woman in a cheetah costume, which probably would've worked a lot better than the hideous cat-person transformation they gave us here.

What’s the point of setting this movie in the 80s? It doesn’t really feels 80s anyways, there’s no music from that decade in the soundtrack, no mention of any popular films of the time (or not so popular ones), and with the exception of the mall and workout scene, no style from that era! Seriously the only thing 80s about it is the lower quality effects and green screen!
@bobross1829 Жыл бұрын
Yep, the fact there was no 80's music (the entire best thing of the decade) or other 80's references was one of the many head scratching things about this. Wonder Woman too had the exact same look she did in the "present day" movies. Where is the big 80's hair? Shoulder pads? Pop culture? It really could have been any year. Why set a movie in the past then ignore the entire setting?

Since r*ape by Wonder Woman was discussed, can we get a ruling on the season finale of She-Hulk? In that final episode, She-Hulk re-writes reality, part of which includes bringing DareDevil back into her life because "a woman has needs". There's no consent step that I recall where DareDevil agreed to that, so, isn't that sexual assault? Could Bruce Banner, for example, wish Black Widow into an alternate reality for the same purpose without recriminiation?

This movie just was awful on sooo many levels. Like, you set it in the 1980's and have no 1980's music? Like that is the entire reason you want an 80's setting! And Max keeps on "taking things" but they never once explain how that works. Like the army, do they all just magically think, "For some reason, this random guy is now our boss so we must die for him?" Why would they think that? When he takes from the President, does the president just forget he is president and everyone else in the entire government does too so he can never counteract anything Max took? Why did some things wished for just appear, BUT Steve had to take over someone's body? Like why wasn't he screaming being resurrected and being dead 60 years? Like was he ripped from heaven or some afterlife? How can he fly a modern plane? How did they get back from Egypt? Fly commercial back, but then how did they get back so quickly? They have tickets to an immediate flight? Max said each person gets one wish, but Barbara got two? Why? Nothing about this movie was thought through at all. It was like they just shot a draft script.

“Wonder Woman was so cool 1 movie ago. What happened to her?” Unfortunately Adam, people like you happened to her. People that refuse to see that the only time Wonder Woman has and will ever be cool, awesome, or even interesting on screen, is in the hands of Zack Snyder. Out of his hands, Wonder Woman has been cheesy, lame, and pretty much nothing past being a soundboard for her theme tune. But due to yours and plenty of others reaction to BvS (and 7 years of whining since, all refusing to watch the cut the director ACTUALLY wanted to release), you screwed and squeezed all of the awesome out of DC. This is what was left 🤷🏼♂️ Patty Jenkins, Walter Hamada and Geoff Johns. This is what you get.
@AdamDoesMovies Жыл бұрын
Yikes dude. I liked Snyder but what are you even talking about? Wonder Woman 1 got almost universal praise and was directed by Patti Jenkins NOT Zack Snyder. She decided to go a different route with the sequel and it was terrible. This isn't some grand conspiracy to remove Snyder. It was just a terrible sequel. Directors have done this many times before. The Lost World by Spielberg didn't even feel like his film either but it was. I'm not losing any sleep over Gal Gadot not being Wonder Woman either. I look forward to this whole disaster starting from scratch. Hopefully this time they learn to make great stand-alone films instead of rush for the whole "universe" angle.

@@AdamDoesMovies ahh I get really tired of people saying that WW1 was directed by Patty so had nothing to do with Snyder. His stunt team were on, he produced it, and if you put it frame by frame next to 300 - a blind man can tell you who was behind the camera that day! Everything everybody liked about WW1 came out of Snyder’s hands - that’s the truth. Now she’s just some lame caricature with no more depth than the poster paper she’s printed on. WW84 is a result of Zack leaving, and you can’t say it isn’t without completely sheltering yourself from the truth. If they’re rebooting, I’m in the same camp as most people - do it properly. None of this “I’m gonna bring over the characters/actors I want to work with manipulate” and lose the rest. Total BS imo. And no, they haven’t learned. Have you seen Gunn’s plans? He wants everything from movies to cartoons to commercials be tied in to his stupid universe. No one on earth is going to be able to keep up with it. Finally, no hate Adam, you know my comments always come with love 🙏 keep up the good work 👍

@@HarryOBrienMusic Yeah, I'ver very concerned about Gunn doing the whole comics/games/movies/etc thing but we shall see. I'm hoping it's "connected" but not CONNECTED. Meaning they are sharing a universe in spirit but not mandatory watching/reading/playing to understand what's going on. Yes, Snyder obviously helped guide Patti on WW1. No one argues that. But the movie was great, even outside the action scenes. She is a very competent director. Now, that said. I think you should point out the real contribution to WW1 by Snyder and that's the script. He and a two others (not Patti) were responsible for the most important piece. Patti wrote the sequel and that's where the real issues stem from. I'm not even a fan of Snyder when it comes to his writing (usually) but Wonder Woman was very solid. I'm not sure how much he had to do with the script but Patti Jenkins wasn't anywhere near it, haha.

@@AdamDoesMovies yeah I don’t support Gunn so I won’t be watching any of it. His affiliations just… no thanks. And the inter-connectivity of the universe of CONNECTED is gonna be so awful. Write it, we’re doing your script” and they started filming it something like 3 weeks later haha. But yeah story, action, connection to the universe - everything that was good about WW1 - All Zack. Such a shame the sequel was made with no involvement from him.
