I run the OTA programmer on this combo and adjust the settings from the drivers stand during practice. Works pretty quick and the range is well over the 5 meters they stated to have.

Its not disabling the turbo because its at 94%, its actually just that turbo only applies at full throttle. The HW esc considers anything above 94% to be the same as full throttle. You can confirm it by the solid green light on the esc. The "big difference" you see when dropping to 94% is the persistence of PWM drive freq vs full duty battery voltage since you're no longer ever at full throttle. Then on top of that yes turbo is now disabled. But even with turbo off, it makes a large difference being "on drive freq" vs not.

Also worth mentioning the thermal characteristics will change by staying always on-pwm vs not (share of heat between esc and motor will be different)

@@AdamDrake Oh, ok. Im just suprised as dean's connectors are rated for 25A and durinig my days of woring in hobbystore i saw fair share of melted deans and developed rl bad opinion about these.
